About the Job
The Sanitation Technician will be responsible for maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of our facility. The Sanitation Technician will oversee our facility with integrity and attention to detail. The goal is to create a clean and orderly environment for our guests and team members.
What You Will Do
Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and polishing.
Maintain orderly and clean work area.
Restock and replenish supplies as appropriate.
Assists in emergency cleaning.
Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, and other work areas throughout the facility.
Washes walls, windows, door panels, and sills.
Empties wastebaskets daily in office areas and restrooms. Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
Cleans lunchroom daily; Washes table, clean sink, counter and microwave, removes trash and ensures floor,
chairs, etc. are free of debris. Cleans refrigerators weekly.
Cleans washrooms, including sinks, toilets, and floors. Replenishes bathroom supplies.
Keeps front of building, dock area and rear of building swept and free of debris.
Removes and discards all items not approved for permanent storage.
Notify superiors on any damages, deficits, and disturbances.
Complies with safety and GMP requirements.
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three months related experience and/or
training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Use of cleaning chemicals and safe handling practices.
Ability to frequently be exposed to herbal aromas, dust, and/or airborne particles.
Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to work near moving mechanical parts.
Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Per state law, must be at least 21 years of age.
Compensation Description (annually): The hourly pay rate for this position is $18.00.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position involves sitting, walking and lifting less than 10 pounds for long periods of time throughout the day. Working in warm/humid environments with high intensity lighting. Able to bend for many of the work tasks, and stand on and climb ladders. Must be able to lift up to a maximum of 50 lbs. occasionally without assistance. Comfortable working with scissors and or pruning shears.The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Requires normal hearing range
