About this Room Controller | AYANA Midplaza, JAKARTA role at AYANA Hospitality
Responsible for the maintenance and control of the hotel’s room inventory. Responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operation of the Front Office with regard to room inventory, i.e., organizing guest room moves, controlling sell-out days, and supervising upgrades.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or a related field.
- At least 2–3 years of experience as a Room Controller, Front Office Supervisor, or similar role in a 4-star or 5-star luxury hotel.
- Strong knowledge of Front Office operations, room inventory management, and room allocation strategies.
- Proficient in Property Management Systems (PMS) such as Opera PMS; knowledge of Opera Cloud is an advantage.
- Excellent understanding of room status, guest preferences, VIP handling, and room blocking procedures.
- Strong coordination skills with Housekeeping, Engineering, Reservations, and Guest Services to ensure seamless room readiness.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Able to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-focused mindset.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written; additional foreign language proficiency is an advantage.
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
