Alice & Bob is developing the first universal, fault-tolerant quantum computer to solve the world’s hardest problems.
The quantum computer we envision building is based on a new kind of superconducting qubit: the Schrödinger cat qubit 🐈⬛. In comparison to other superconducting platforms, cat qubits have the astonishing ability to implement quantum error correction autonomously!
We're a diverse team of 250+ brilliant minds from over 35 countries united by a single goal: to revolutionise computing with a practical fault-tolerant quantum machine. Are you ready to take on unprecedented challenges and contribute to revolutionising technology? Join us, and let's shape the future of quantum computing together!
About the Role
This role works closely with the leadership team, and is the chief architect of quantum education, inside the company and out. In this position, you will build Alice & Bob's Academy from the ground up: internal learning programs that bring quantum literacy to every employee, a world-class summer school for doctoral researchers, and the long-term co-creation of a competitive master's degree in quantum physics with leading European institutions.
About You
You're a builder who has launched programs, grown communities, and created structure in complex environments — from academia, a research institute, a deep tech company, or an education-focused organization anywhere in the world. What matters most is a track record of getting things off the ground, the ability to earn scientists' trust, and genuine passion for making frontier science accessible. A non-linear career path is a strength here, not a liability.
Responsibilities
Build and lead Alice & Bob's internal quantum education program
Design a tiered quantum physics curriculum covering fundamentals, superconducting qubits, cat qubit architecture, and quantum error correction
Develop self-paced modules, live seminars, and hands-on bootcamps adapted to different technical backgrounds
Define learning pathways by role (hardware, software, business, operations) in collaboration with team leads
Create and maintain an internal knowledge base that evolves with research
Build metrics to assess learning outcomes and iterate continuously
Design and run Alice & Bob's annual Summer School for doctoral researchers
Build a network of academic partners (universities, grandes écoles, national labs) to source participants and co-design content
Recruit and coordinate a faculty of internal scientists and external experts
Manage the program end-to-end: curriculum, logistics, participant selection, and follow-up
Leverage the summer school to strengthen Alice & Bob's academic brand and build a talent pipeline
Own Alice & Bob's academic community strategy
Position Alice & Bob as the most exciting place to learn cutting-edge quantum computing globally
Build and nurture relationships with professors, lab directors, and quantum research institutions worldwide
Represent Alice & Bob at academic events and conferences
Manage Alice & Bob's CIFRE thesis program, from partner identification to candidate follow-up and institutional coordination
Lead the long-term co-creation of a competitive Master's degree in quantum physics
Identify and negotiate partnerships with leading institutions
Design the curriculum in close collaboration with Alice & Bob's scientific leadership
Define the program's positioning, admission criteria, and pedagogical approach
Navigate the institutional and regulatory landscape for higher education program creation in France and Europe
Develop Alice & Bob's Academy into an ecosystem platform
Lead the creation and execution of quantum hackathons, innovation programs and developer engagement initiatives that stimulate ecosystem growth
Design and deliver executive education, technical workshops and advisory programs for customers, partners and public institutions
Package internal educational content, training methodologies and learning assets into scalable customer, partner and ecosystem offerings
Requirements
5+ years of experience building and managing programs at the intersection of science, education, or research in academia, industry, or institutional settings globally.
Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field (physics, engineering, education, or related); PhD appreciated but not required.
Strong enough grasp of quantum computing to engage credibly with physicists and translate for everyone else.
A track record of building structured programs from scratch — curricula, bootcamps, summer schools or certificate programs.
A solid academic or research network, with familiarity across leading universities and institutions globally.
Prior experience managing institutional partnerships across academic, regulatory or corporate stakeholders.
Project management chops: several programs running at once, on time and on budget, with a high degree of autonomy.
An entrepreneurial mindset — comfortable with ambiguity, and treats constraints as design challenges.
Fluent communication and facilitation in both English and French.
