About this Provider Onboarding Associate (1099 Contract) role at Prosper Health
Prosper Health is on a mission to make life happier and healthier for autistic and neurodivergent adults.
Despite autism diagnoses increasing more than 5x in the past 25 years, autistic adults have been systematically overlooked. This has led to extremely poor outcomes, including high rates of co-occurring mental health conditions and a lower life expectancy. Prosper is here to change that.
We deliver specialized mental health services for autistic adults, covered by insurance. We've helped tens of thousands of people receive an autism diagnosis for the first time, work with neurodivergent-affirming therapists, and find belonging through community. Our outcomes meaningfully outperform traditional care for autistic adults, with substantially greater improvements in mood, anxiety, and quality of life.
Prosper is growing 3x year over year and are at mid-double-digit millions in run-rate revenue, with thousands of active clients and 400+ clinicians. We're a high-ownership, mission-driven team, building something that has never existed for autistic and neurodivergent adults.
The Role
We’re looking for a warm, organized contractor to join the Provider Onboarding team at Prosper Health. This role is a critical bridge between a provider’s offer letter and their first day seeing clients, and you’ll help ensure every new psychologist and therapist feels prepared, supported, and set up for long-term success with us. You’ll work closely with our Provider Onboarding Manager to keep onboarding running smoothly and providers feeling seen.
What You’ll Do
- Facilitate or co-facilitate live required onboarding meetings via Zoom for incoming psychologists and therapists, delivering structured orientation content and answering provider questions in real time
- Serve as a key point of contact during the critical pre-start window, supporting providers from offer letter acceptance through the beginning of active client services
- Respond to inbound provider emails in a timely, professional manner, while fielding questions about credentialing, scheduling, access, and next steps
- Host Zoom troubleshooting sessions to help new providers navigate tools and technology before their first client sessions
- Monitor provider pre-onboarding tasks and flag any “at-risk” providers to the Provider Onboarding Manager for follow-up
- Assist with maintaining onboarding documentation, tracking provider progress, and updating internal systems to reflect accurate status
- Support a warm, neurodivergent-affirming onboarding experience that reflects Prosper Health’s values from day one.
Who You Are
- You’re a natural communicator who can make a new provider feel genuinely welcomes and prepared, not just processed
- You are someone who sees a problem and can’t help but start solving it. You ask good questions, cut through noise, and know how to move forward even when the path isn’t fully clear. You’re not waiting to be told what to do, you’re already three steps in.
- You will follow structured workflows without it feeling robotic
- You’re reliable: if a Zoom is at 10:00 AM, you’re there at 9:55 AM
- You take clean, actionable notes, and don’t let follow-ups slip through the cracks
- You’re comfortable managing email volume and can prioritize without supervision
- You find meaning in work that matters: the providers you help onboard with directly impact the lives of autistic adults seeking care
- You have experience in mental health, healthcare, or clinical operations and you understand the provider perspective
- You’re comfortable using tools like Monday.com, Healthie, Slack, Notion, and Zapier.
Compensation
- $25.00 per hour, ~10 hours per week, paid every 2 weeks
- 1099 Contractor
