Rendeavour owns Kiswishi City S.A., a limited liability company incorporated in the Democratic Republic of Congo, with its registered office located at 12 Avenue des Cyprès, Quartier Bel-Air, Commune de Kampemba, Lubumbashi, Province du Haut-Katanga. 

Kiswishi City S.A. is the owner and developer of Kiswishi SEZ, the first private Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The project is located on the outskirts of Lubumbashi, approximately 14 km from the city’s central business district and 8 km from Luano International Airport.

Kiswishi City is a master-planned, mixed-use development designed to accommodate light industrial, commercial, residential, retail, social, and recreational activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Visualization & BIM: Produce high-quality 3D renders, walkthroughs, and visual presentations to support design reviews and client engagements.
  • Manage the formal review and approval process for all architectural material submittals, samples, and mock ups, ensuring quality standards and design compliance before procurement and installation.
  • Act as the primary technical interface between the Kiswishi Management and the plot owners
  • Lead the detailed technical review of all plot owners’ drawings to verify full compliance with design guidelines and provide clear guidance to support adherence.
  • Monitor ongoing construction activities on Kiswishi plots to ensure strict compliance with the approved designs.
  • Assist in and oversee the building permit process for Kiswishi plot owners whose designs have been formally accepted.
  • Serve as the custodian of the project's architectural design integrity throughout the pre-construction and construction phases, safeguarding quality and aesthetics.
  • Maintain an organized and up-to-date register of all architectural drawings, specifications, shop drawings, RFIs, and material submittals.
  • Perform any additional tasks as may be assigned by the Rendeavour Country Head, Projects Director, or the Rendeavour Chief Architect.
  • Design & Documentation: Develop full sets of architectural drawings, including:
    • Concept Design: site layouts, massing studies, spatial planning.
    • Schematic Design: preliminary plans, elevations, sections, and design alternatives.
    • Detailed Design & Construction Drawings: technical plans, detailed sections, façade details, material specifications, and coordination drawings.
    • Ensure drawings comply with local codes, client requirements, and international best practices.
    • Translate conceptual designs into clear construction documentation.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's or master’s degree in architecture from an internationally recognized university is essential.
  • Professional Certifications: Professional registration as an Architect is highly advantageous.
  • A minimum of 5-10 years of post-qualification experience, with significant time spent in a technical, post-concept design role focusing on construction documentation, detailing, and technical review.
  • Demonstrable experience in a technical office environment on major international high-rise or mixed-use projects is essential.
  • Expert knowledge of building envelope technology, waterproofing systems, material science, and high-quality interior finishing details. Expert-level proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is required to interrogate and review complex models and drawings.
  • Strong working knowledge of international building codes and standards related to performance, life safety, and accessibility.
