Job Description:
As a Project Manager in this role, you will oversee the transition of a medium-sized IT system to a new program, ensuring seamless migration and minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
You will coordinate the modernization and transformation of infrastructure that includes Windows and Linux servers, Kubernetes clusters, storage appliances, desktops, and their associated management software. Your responsibilities will involve developing detailed project plans, managing timelines, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver results within scope and budget. You will also be tasked with identifying potential risks, implementing mitigation strategies, and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
To excel in this position, familiarity with IT Service Management frameworks and Agile project management methodologies will be highly advantageous. Experience with system migrations, particularly involving hybrid environments of both Windows and Linux, will help you navigate the complexities of the transition. Exposure to container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, as well as hands-on knowledge of storage solutions and endpoint management tools, will enable you to address technical challenges effectively. A background in leading IT modernization or transformation initiatives, especially those requiring coordination across multiple technology domains, will further support your success in this dynamic environment.
The work you'll do:
- Lead and manage the transition of a medium-sized IT system to a new program, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Oversee all aspects of IT modernization and transformation initiatives, including planning, execution, and delivery.
- Coordinate and manage resources across Windows and Linux servers, Kubernetes clusters, storage appliances, desktops, and associated management software.
- Implement and maintain IT Service Management best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
- Apply Agile Project Management methodologies to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure project objectives are met.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Communicate project status, milestones, and deliverables to stakeholders and leadership.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, security standards, and industry best practices.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation throughout the IT transition process.

Security clearance:
- Active TS/SCI with Poly security clearance is required.

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below.
