DIS-TRAN Steel has an opening for a Night Shift Production Support Technician at our Eunice, LA. plant.
This position supports both Kinetic and Laser cutting operations by ensuring materials are safely transported, staged, prepared, and delivered throughout the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, hoists, and other material handling equipment.
Transport, stage, load, and unload steel materials to support production.
Support Kinetic and Laser cutting operations by delivering raw materials and removing finished components.
Prepare, inspect, clean, sort, and stage finished parts for downstream fabrication.
Load, align, and position steel plates for cutting operations.
Remove scrap, excess material, templates, and cut components without damaging finished products.
Use basic hand tools including scrapers, wire brushes, grinders, hammers, crowbars, and brooms as needed.
Verify part accuracy against work orders, drawings, and specifications.
Perform pre- and post-operation inspections on forklifts and lifting equipment.
Maintain accurate production records and inventory movement.
Perform general housekeeping and other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION SUPPORT TECHNICIAN
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read a tape measure required.
• Ability to read basic fabrication drawings preferred.
• Prior forklift, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic hand tools.
• Ability to safely perform medium-heavy physical labor in indoor and outdoor manufacturing environments.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures while wearing required PPE.
• Clear Motor Vehicle Report.
• Regular, reliable attendance required.
