About this Director, Platform Product Management role at HG Insights
HG Insights is looking for an exceptional, seasoned product leader to shape and accelerate the RGI platform — the foundation that powers our GTM intelligence products and first-party integration ecosystem. You'll work with some of the most prominent companies in the world to solve their hardest go-to-market, business operations, and strategic planning problems, worth millions (and sometimes billions) of dollars to them and their teams. You will work closely with Sales, Customer Success, Solutions, Engineering, and others to make a maximum impact across the business.
Reporting to the Head of Platform, you will bring deep GTM domain expertise and a proven track record of launching 0-to-1 products to define and drive the platform's strategy, roadmap, and AI-native capabilities. This is a senior individual-contributor role: you'll lead through influence, judgment, and hands-on execution rather than direct reports, setting the bar for product craft across the team.
What You'll Be Responsible For:
- Owning the vision and strategy for the RGI platform, including its first-party integration ecosystem, and translating that vision into a roadmap the business can rally behind.
- Taking products from 0 to 1 — identifying underserved opportunities, validating them with customers, and shipping them into the market with a clear point of view on sequencing and trade-offs.
- Driving the AI Product Lifecycle end to end: identifying where AI and agentic workflows create real leverage in GTM motions, and shepherding those ideas from concept through launch with customer value as the north star.
- Becoming fluent in the problems our customers face, their use cases, our value proposition, our product, and our competitive landscape across the GTM intelligence stack.
- Bringing a fresh, sometimes contrarian perspective to our current processes, challenging assumptions around product delivery and platform architecture.
- Leading effective market validation, release, rollout, and positioning of strategic platform offerings.
- Identifying and sizing target markets, customer segments, value propositions, and use cases.
- Defining product KPIs and managing your product areas through metric- and ROI-driven methods.
- Grounding product management decisions in strong financial analysis and business cases.
- Raising the bar on product management practices at HG Insights, identifying and championing upgrades to process and rigor.
- Engaging with customers frequently to share the roadmap, gather feedback, and build a deep understanding of their needs and challenges.
- Partnering closely with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to collect feedback, collaborate on solutions, and drive adoption and engagement.
- Tracking and measuring KPIs for your product areas and proactively reporting learnings to leadership.
- Conducting rigorous market research and customer validation to demonstrate ROI before investment.
- Synthesizing feedback into detailed, real-world use cases.
- Managing multiple backlogs of prioritized features and enhancements aligned to customer need and product strategy.
- Partnering with Engineering to ensure requirements are clear, user stories are well-written, and acceptance criteria are followed per agile principles.
- Evangelizing the product vision across owned product lines to stakeholders at every level, including executives.
- Championing the voice of the customer in product strategy.
What You'll Need:
- 14+ years of product management experience building B2B SaaS products, including platform products with first-party integration ecosystems.
- Deep, current knowledge of the GTM space — you understand how revenue teams work and where technology creates leverage for them.
- Hands-on experience building AI-native and agentic workflow products for GTM use cases, with a clear point of view on how AI changes product design, not just product features.
- A demonstrated track record of taking products from 0 to 1 — you can point to specific products you conceived, validated, and shipped, and speak to what worked and what didn't.
- Experience building products for the revenue-generating parts of a business (Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Solutions/Services, Finance, C-Suite, etc.).
- Deep familiarity with the B2B GTM intelligence stack — platforms like 6sense, ZoomInfo, Apollo, Demandbase, or Bombora.
- A sharp eye for design and a bias toward simplicity, keeping user experience central to every decision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders without formal authority.
- Proven track record at early-stage, venture-backed tech companies.
- Ability to thrive in an intense, dynamic, convention-challenging, high-demand start-up environment.
- Competitive, goal-oriented, coachable, and fun.
- High personal and professional integrity, strong work ethic, and the ability to operate independently with minimal direction.
- Experience integrating data with CRM, MAP, or ERP systems is a plus.
