About this Senior Solutions Consultant, BFSI role at Mendix
Senior Solutions Consultant, BFSI
The Opportunity
Banking and financial services organizations have invested heavily in data, analytics, and AI, yet many still struggle to connect fragmented systems, create trusted institutional context, and move use cases into governed production. Siemens Intelligence Center X (ICX) combines enterprise knowledge graphs, AI and machine learning, and low-code application development to turn complex data into intelligence and action. Join an established, growing BFSI presales organization to lead customer engagements from discovery through technical validation. This is not a role for someone learning the industry: you must build credibility with executives and practitioners and translate business and technical challenges into ICX solutions.
What You’ll Do
- Lead discovery and qualification with business and technical stakeholders. Define the problem, success criteria, data and application landscape, regulatory and architectural constraints, customer sponsorship, data readiness, and path to value.
- Architect solutions using the right mix of Graph Studio, AI Studio, Mendix, and the customer’s existing systems. Explain how data, models, agents, applications, integrations, security, and governance work together, and identify assumptions, dependencies, and risks.
- Deliver tailored demonstrations, workshops, technical presentations, and proofs of concept. Adapt from executive value discussions to detailed technical evaluations, define evaluation criteria, coordinate resources, and document results that support a customer decision.
- Own the technical narrative throughout the sales cycle. Build trust with executive sponsors, technical champions, and practitioners; engage specialists and delivery resources when needed; and maintain continuity through handoff.
- Provide technical input for RFPs, RFIs, proposals, architecture reviews, security assessments, and other evaluation materials. Clarify scope, commitments, dependencies, and risks while helping the team maintain momentum.
- Stay current on BFSI priorities, regulatory developments, data and AI trends, and competitors. Strengthen account strategy, share field feedback, contribute reusable assets and enablement, and represent Siemens in customer, partner, and industry forums.
What You’ll Bring
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in technical presales, solutions consulting, solutions engineering, or solution architecture supporting enterprise knowledge graph, data and AI/ML, or low-code and application-development platforms.
- Direct experience selling into or building solutions for banks, capital markets firms, insurers, fintechs, payments providers, or wealth managers. Experience with major banking and capital markets institutions is strongly preferred.
- Meaningful technical depth in at least one area: enterprise knowledge graphs, ontology design, and semantic technologies; data analytics, data science, machine learning, AI, and model operations; or low-code and enterprise application development. You can demonstrate capabilities, answer detailed questions, and contribute hands-on during workshops or proofs of concept.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise data and application architecture, including cloud platforms, APIs and integration patterns, data pipelines, identity and access management, security, and deployment. You can assess how ICX fits within an existing environment and work credibly with architects, data teams, developers, security leaders, and platform owners.
- Strong communication, customer judgment, and technical presence. You can simplify complex concepts, adapt across business and technical audiences, manage multiple opportunities, and operate with limited supervision.
- Ability to learn new platforms quickly, collaborate with complementary experts, and build working fluency across ICX.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Graph Studio, AI Studio, or Mendix—or with relevant platforms such as Neo4j, TigerGraph, or Stardog; Alteryx, Dataiku, or DataRobot; OutSystems or Microsoft Power Platform; and Snowflake, Databricks, or Microsoft Fabric.
- Experience with BFSI use cases such as fraud and financial crime, KYC, market surveillance, risk management, regulatory reporting, customer intelligence, trading, claims, or onboarding.
- Familiarity with ontology modeling, RDF or SPARQL, GraphRAG, model governance, or agent orchestration.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in computer science, data science, engineering, finance, or a related field. Relevant certifications or advanced degrees are valuable but not required.
