Role Overview

As a Solution Architect at Brightsolid, you will play a crucial role within the Solution Architect Team, which is an integral part of our customer-focused, commercial technology function. You’ll be working directly with expert Solution Architects in AWS, Azure, Sovereign Cloud, datacentre and Security solutions.

For this role, we are seeking an individual with solid knowledge of sovereign cloud technologies and a strong understanding of network architecture and network security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understanding customer needs: Collaborate with customers to understand their technical requirements and business needs. Build strong relationships with customers, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner in their cloud journey.
  • Architecture Development: Design comprehensive hybrid cloud architectures that combine Brightsolid Cloud solutions and Cisco datacentre and wide area networking solutions, ensuring alignment with customer budgets and requirements.
  • Commercial Awareness: Produce customer solutions that meet or improve on our customers available commercial budgets fostering a relationship of trust and growth throughout our partnership.
  • Technical Leadership: Serve as a subject matter expert on Security and Hybrid Cloud technologies within the organisation, providing guidance and expertise to both internal engineering teams and customers.
  • Product Development: Assist with the strategy and development of our future solutions working with our technology and product management teams.
  • Customer Discovery: Scope out existing technology solutions with customers and prospects to support our recommended technical solution.
  • Solution Implementation: Own the architecture during the implementation of solutions, working closely with project and engineering teams to ensure successful delivery.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Stay abreast of emerging trends and advancements in Cloud and Security technology and share knowledge and insights with colleagues to foster a culture of learning and innovation.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a technical or presales role, with a focus on cloud technology.
  • Strong understanding of virtualisation, networking, storage, and security concepts, ideally opensource OpenStack or VMware technologies.
  • Strong understanding of Cisco networking and security solutions. 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Security or Security Operations
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing complex Hybrid Cloud solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

 

Desirable skills:

  • Redhat / Canonical OpenStack
  • Kubernetes
  • Cisco Certifications

Working pattern: Role is remote. Travel is required to meet customers and support marketing engagements. Occasional travel to Brightsolid head office or branch office is required to manager discretion.
