Introduction:
Job Bridge Global is pleased to announce a long awaited opportunity for skilled Fabricators (known as Platers in UK) to join our clients team in 2026. This role offers a chance to work on innovative projects in the Oil and Gas sector across the UK, enhancing your skills while contributing to critical infrastructure.
There are 3 live projects you could end up working on, all of which are landmark jobs in the UK. There are strict requirements. In order to be eligible for shortlisting for a Trade Test in Trinidad, you must meet the requirements below.
Essential Requirements:
This job requires extremely experienced and talented Fabricators. You must have or be:
- Must be a competent Fabricators. Do not apply if you lack the experience.
- Minimum 5 years experience. Do not apply if you have less.
- Have a smart phone that you can use and an email address that isn't at capacity. A large element of 'surviving' in the UK requires use of a Smartphone.
- A Completely Clean Police Record (COC). You will not pass the security clearance without it. The government will find out and you'll waste everyone's time if you lie. You categorically will not get the job. Also needed for trade test, receipts are not acceptable.
- Training Certificates.
- Resume. Must be up to date. Must not be a scanned image. Must be editable so we can redact personal information.
- If your CV only has job titles for each experience, you need to add more. You must expand on what you were working on, what project you were on, what types bends, conditions, what types of materials, what dimension/diameter of materials, achievements. Remember, everyone in Jamaica knows other Jamaicans, people in the UK have no idea who you are. This is your one chance to stand out and it's on a resume. Anyone who sends in a CV with just a job title 'Fabricator' for experience and nothing else will be disqualified.
- Do not share your passport scans with us, do not put your passport number in the CV.
- Work History - must be up to date and accurate. Gaps need to be accounted for. Everything needs to be dated from and to. Any Resume without dates will be disqualified. It's a requirement for the security checking.
- References. Must be real, they will be checked by the UK Police force for security checking. We will also be running reference checking which will utilise I.P checks to identify fraud.
The above might be straight to the point, but there is reason to be. The paperwork must be thorough. No exceptions. Some of the projects require Counter Terrorism Clearance, they will leave no stone unturned, and neither should you if you wish to get the job.
This is the job of a lifetime, in a world where immigration rules are tightening and overseas work is becoming harder and harder, and Visas are becoming more and more expensive. The UK Visa is the most expensive in the world, hence why only the best candidates will be tested, and potentially offered work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Install, repair, and maintain piping systems and fittings according to specifications and industry standards.
- Ensure all installations meet safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and other trades to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of piping systems to ensure functionality.
- Prepare reports on work performed and materials used.
- Pass a trade test (You must pass a trade test to qualify for this job)
- Clean COC (You must have a clean police record)
Requirements
- Trade certification or equivalent qualification in Pipefitting or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Pipefitter in an industrial environment.
- Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting piping and installation drawings.
- In-depth knowledge of pipe materials, fittings, and systems.
- Ability to operate required tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other team members and stakeholders.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and adherence to procedures.
- Willingness to work flexible hours to meet project deadlines.
- Ability to pass Drug and Alcohol tests as well as trade assessments.
