Director of Physical Therapy

About the Position

We are seeking a Director of Physical Therapy for an outpatient physical therapy office in Warrenton, VA. This is a full-time role with annual compensation of $90,000-$120,000 and a Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM schedule.

This position is centered on clinical leadership, patient outcomes, and smooth clinic operations. The Director of Physical Therapy will help patients receive clear treatment plans and consistent follow-through while also supporting the staff responsible for delivering that care.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee outpatient physical therapy operations and clinical service delivery
• Perform patient evaluations and establish treatment goals
• Provide direct treatment for post-surgical recovery, orthopedic concerns, pain, and movement limitations
• Guide staff with care progression, documentation, and patient communication
• Track outcomes and assist with treatment plan updates
• Review charts for completeness, compliance, and clinical quality
• Support scheduling flow, provider coordination, and daily clinic organization
• Help maintain a respectful, professional, and efficient care setting

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
• Active Virginia Physical Therapist license or eligibility to obtain one
• Outpatient physical therapy experience required
• Previous leadership, supervisory, or clinic management experience preferred
• Strong clinical reasoning and documentation skills
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients, staff, and providers
