About this Onsite Merchandiser - Jumia (Full Time) role at Jumia Internal Mobility Board

As an Onsite Merchandiser, you will supervise the Jumia App and website and ensure efficient e-merchandising. Your role is vital to maintaining the site daily, challenging product assortment, catalog structure, and navigation. You will optimize the user experience to maximize conversion and usage while ensuring an outstanding quality of content across our platforms.

What you will be doing:
- Full Platform Ownership: Owning the app and website front end from A to Z.
- Content Planning: Plan homepage content (categories, campaigns, ecosystem, brands, advertising, etc.) and effectively coordinate onsite capacity.
- Page Optimization: Strategically plan category and campaign page creation and continuous optimization.
- Design Coordination: Collaborate and brief design teams to deliver best-in-class assets with clear value propositions, adhering strictly to group brand guidelines.
- Campaign Execution: Back-end execution (BOB) of all changes required for marketing and promotional campaigns.
- Placement Optimization: Daily optimization of onsite placements based on KPIs to guarantee high exposure for the most relevant content.
- Business Analytics: Track key performance indicators and provide regular reports with high value-added analysis (shop, search, funnel performance, etc.), delivering business-oriented insights to the marketing, commercial, and graphics teams.
- Feature Implementation: Suggest, implement, and try out new technical/IT features following structured A/B testing frameworks.
- Innovation & Creativity: Maintain an innovative mindset, keeping up to date with new e-commerce trends and ideas to test on our platforms.
What we are looking for:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or Engineering with a strong analytical profile.
- Experience: Previous experience in the e-commerce industry is highly advantageous.
- Core Skills: Well-organized and rigorous, demonstrating excellent anticipation skills and sharp attention to detail.
- Mindset: Strongly customer-oriented and highly adaptable to working under pressure within tight deadlines.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills in English, with an eagerness to work in a highly international and entrepreneurial environment.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Advanced Excel skills are mandatory.
- Practical experience with Content Management Systems (CMS).
- Knowledge of coding (HTML) and Adobe Photoshop is a plus.
