About this Office Manager role at Fluidstack
About Fluidstack
We exist to make humanity more free. For most of human history, you farmed or you starved. Technology gave people more time for the things they wanted to do, instead of things they had to do. Powerful AI will be the biggest lever for human choice we've ever built - but only if models are aligned with what humanity actually wants. There are groups building AI who don't share these goals. Whoever deploys frontier compute infrastructure fastest will decide whether AI expands human freedom or shrinks it.
We're singularly focused on delivering 10 to 100s of GWs of compute faster than anyone else, rethinking every layer of the stack. We acquire power, design and build data centers, and operate them - with teams spanning hardware and software. Speed and scale are our key differentiators. Come be a part of building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI.
We hire people who care deeply about this problem space. If that is you, please apply!
How We Operate
Extreme ownership. Full autonomy. Own things end to end often taking on scope outside your core role without being asked to get things done.
Velocity. We drive everything forward as fast as possible.
First principles. Challenge every assumption. Zero analogy thinking, no egos, the best idea wins.
Love of the game. The frontier of AI is the most interesting problem of our time. We put in long hours at high intensity to push the frontier forward.
The People Team
Examples of key problems the team is working on
Build the people function from scratch, fast enough to keep up with 10x growth. We grew headcount 10x in the last year and we're not slowing down. You'll build the systems, programs, and team from nothing, and make them work before we outgrow them.
Reinvent people operations around AI. Doing this by hand doesn't scale to a workforce growing this fast on a team this lean. You'll put AI at the core of how the function runs, so a small team supports many times its number.
Own the culture and comms as the company scales. When a company scales this quickly, staying connected and aligned doesn't happen on its own. You'll own the internal comms, events, and rhythm that keep a multi-site team that's growing fast bound to a shared culture.
Role Scope
Own the day-to-day experience of your Fluidstack office: how the space looks and functions, and the small details that make it feel genuinely cared for.
Own every vendor relationship for your office, cleaning, catering, maintenance, and supplies, holding each to an agreed standard and raising issues before they become problems.
Act as the first point of escalation for workplace issues, from a broken monitor to a facilities request, resolving what you can and escalating the rest with clear context.
Manage your office's operational budget with clear tracking and no surprises.
Run a lightweight feedback loop with employees in your office, so you know what's working and what isn't before it turns into a complaint.
What We're Looking For
The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, tell us where you would.
You've run an office or workspace before and took pride in making it a place people wanted to be.
You manage vendors with care: expectations are set clearly, performance is tracked, and hard conversations happen early when standards slip.
You're organized and self-directed. You don't need a daily task list from a manager to know what needs doing.
You bring a hospitality mindset, thinking about experience and not just maintenance.
You're open to a non-traditional path into this work. If you've managed spaces, logistics, or operations in hospitality, events, coworking, or retail, that counts.
You communicate clearly and calmly, especially in the moment something goes wrong.
Bonus: Experience managing office openings, buildouts, or relocations. Familiarity with workplace technology such as access systems, desk booking, or AV.
