Purpose and Objective
The Merchandising Assistant supports the Buying and Merchandising team in executing seasonal strategies across men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, footwear, and accessories. This entry-level role focuses on operational excellence, reporting accuracy, and foundational business analysis, serving as the backbone of the merchandising function.
This position is designed to build strong analytical and organizational skills while providing exposure to assortment planning, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration within a luxury environment.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Reporting & Data Management
Run and distribute weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc sales reports by category, channel, and region.
Maintain and update reporting templates with accuracy and timeliness.
Support analysis of best sellers, slow movers, and category performance.
Assist in preparing recaps and presentation materials for internal meetings.
Assortment & Buy Support
Assist in maintaining buy sheets and assortment tracking documents.
Enter purchase orders and ensure data accuracy in systems.
Support size entry and validation under direction of the Buyer/Assistant Buyer.
Help track delivery schedules and communicate updates cross-functionally.
Operational & Cross-Functional Support
Maintain order bibles, collection tools, and internal merchandising documents.
Partner with Planning and Operations teams to confirm order accuracy and delivery timing.
Support product setup and data integrity for Retail and E-Commerce teams.
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, or related field.
0-2 years of experience (internships relevant).
Strong Excel foundation (formulas, basic pivot tables).
Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Clear communicator with eagerness to learn luxury merchandising.
Strong interest in product and the luxury consumer.
Passion for the AMIRI brand and understanding of the luxury consumer mindset.
