About the Role
The Material Handler Specialist, Logistics will support the day-to-day inventory management and material handling operations at DoorDash Labs. You will be responsible for receiving, organizing, storing, and issuing materials, components, and finished goods within our autonomous robotics service environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to operate standard material handling equipment, including working safely around autonomous systems. You will accurately track material movements and inventory transactions in our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). You will work closely with the operations and engineering teams to keep materials flowing and inventory accurate. You will report to the Manager of Supply Chain and Maintenance Planning in our DoorDash Labs organization.

- Perform day-to-day material handling tasks, including receiving, unpacking, inspecting, storing, and issuing a range of components and robotic systems.
- Safely operate standard material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts, and work safely around autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) used for material transport.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers, ensuring items are properly secured and documented.
- Pick, pack, and prepare materials for shipment by following standard shipping procedures and instructions.
- Handle hazardous materials in accordance with established safety procedures and regulations.
- Accurately record inventory transactions and material movements in CMMS software.
- Perform regular cycle counts and support physical inventory counts, flagging any discrepancies for review.
- Monitor stock levels and notify the team of potential shortages or overages.
- Put away received materials and keep storage locations organized, clearly labeled, and easy to access.
- Support service operations, engineering, and quality teams by keeping materials available and easy to locate.
- Keep stockroom and storage areas clean, organized, and audit-ready in line with 5S standards.
- Follow established material handling and inventory procedures, and share ideas for improving day-to-day workflows.
We’re excited about you because you have…
- High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certification a plus.
- 1+ years of experience as a Material Handler, Warehouse Associate, or in a similar logistics or inventory role, ideally in a manufacturing, distribution, or electronics environment.
- Familiarity with inventory, ERP, or warehouse management systems.
- Ability to safely operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts; forklift certification (or willingness to become certified) is a plus.
- Working knowledge of basic inventory control principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly and perform repetitive tasks.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic proficiency in Google Suite
