SUMMARY

The Manager, Event Finance will serve as a key advisor for data-driven decision-making, with a strong emphasis on event profitability, ticket sales forecasting, per capita (per cap) revenue analysis, staffing optimization, variance analysis, event economics development, and managing the division’s cash flow model to ensure effective liquidity planning.
This position requires the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights that influence business strategy. The Manager will proactively evaluate trends across event revenue streams and cost drivers, identify risks and opportunities, and deliver recommendations to improve financial outcomes. This role plays a critical part in enhancing financial transparency and operational insight, enabling leadership to make strategic decisions.
The ideal candidate combines strong organizational and communication skills with advanced financial modeling and analytical capabilities. This role will partner closely with cross-functional teams and interact regularly with senior leadership, including the CFO, serving as a strategic financial advisor to the Entertainment division.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Lead and perform detailed financial analysis of events, including profitability analysis, cost variance reviews, and margin optimization
- Own and manage the Event Finance cash flow model, providing forward-looking visibility into liquidity, event timing impacts, and working capital needs
- Build, maintain, and enhance financial models to forecast event performance, including ticket sales, attendance, and per capita revenue streams (e.g., concessions, merchandise)
- Develop and manage ticket sales forecasts, analyzing historical trends, pacing, and market factors to support revenue projections
- Conduct event staffing analysis to evaluate labor needs, optimize staffing models, and ensure alignment with operational demands and budget targets
- Analyze event budgets versus actuals, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings and revenue optimization
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs), including per cap metrics and labor efficiency measures, to evaluate event financial performance
- Provide financial oversight and analysis across the full event lifecycle, including pre-event planning, live event execution, and post-event settlement
- Develop and deliver advanced reporting, dashboards, and financial insights to support leadership decision-making
- Serve as a strategic finance partner to the Entertainment team, providing insights and guidance on ticketing, pricing, staffing, and revenue optimization strategies
- Provide on-site financial oversight and analysis during events, including night-of-show settlements as needed
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and enhanced financial visibility
- Support broader Finance initiatives and strategic projects across BKSE
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- 5+ years of experience in entertainment finance, accounting, or finance, with a strong emphasis on financial analysis
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required; CPA or MBA a plus
- Demonstrated experience in financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis, ideally including revenue forecasting (ticketing, per caps, etc.)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and financial modeling required)
- Experience with data visualization or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, AI-tools) and/or SQL is a plus
- Experience in entertainment, live events, sports, or production environments strongly preferred

COMPENSATION
$100,000 - $115,000

This position will be based in our corporate headquarters in Brooklyn, with ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays at our arena.
