We're looking for a Logistics Team Lead to join our team at Controlant!

The Logistics Team Lead is a valuable member of the Operations Management Team and in collaboration with Director of Device Logistics participates in setting the future strategy and business objectives of the Logistics team. 

The Logistics Team Lead is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of a Logistics Team within Device Logistics. This role involves managing the supply and return process for IoT devices from customers back to the organization’s Service Centers, ensuring operational efficiency, and fostering strong relationships with key customers, third-party partners, and internal stakeholders. The Logistics Team Lead will provide operational support, manage team performance, and collaborate closely with the Director of Device Logistics to ensure smooth and timely execution of all logistics activities. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

  • Manage and provide operational support to all members of the Logistics Team. 
  • Lead the onboarding and training of new team members to ensure they are equipped to perform their roles effectively. 
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, salary and performance reviews, and ensure timesheet and holiday scheduling management. 
  • Ensure the Logistics team meets accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency targets in managing the supply and return process of IoT devices. 
  • Provide backup support to team members and ensure adequate coverage across different time zones, particularly during high-priority operations. 
  • Maintain communication procedures, guidelines, and policies, ensuring customer service excellence. 
  • Design, implement, and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Analyze metrics and data to identify opportunities for improvements and optimize device logistics efficiency. 
  • Identify any potential risks within the supply and return process and proactively develop solutions to mitigate those risks. 
  • Build and maintain sustainable relationships of trust with key customers, 3rd party logistics partners, and internal departments (e.g., Service Centers, Implementation, Commercial). 
  • Resolve any arising issues or complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction and service excellence. 
  • Engage with customers beyond standard expectations, providing proactive communication and problem-solving.
  • Provide regular reports and statistical updates to the Director of Device Logistics, keeping senior management informed of team performance and operational efficiency. 
  • Collaborate closely with other departments to align supply and reverse logistics activities with overall company goals and strategies. 
  • Act as a backup for the Director of Device Logistics when necessary, ensuring continuity of operations. 

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.  
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, with some experience in a leadership or team management role. 
  • Experience working with global teams and managing remote operations. 
  • Experience in IoT device logistics or the pharmaceutical supply chain industry is highly desirable. 
  • Proficiency in logistics management software and tools to manage processes and track KPIs. 
  • Strong data analysis skills to assess team performance and implement process improvements. 
  • Knowledge of international shipping regulations and return logistics. 
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to resolve issues and build trust with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
