Job Title: Specialist Podiatrist – High Risk & MSK

Duration: 3 Months
Hourly Rate: £30-£34 per hour
Working Hours: 3–4 days per week (Tuesday and Thursday required, Friday desirable)
Job Overview
Pulse is currently seeking an experienced Band 7 Specialist Podiatrist to join a community podiatry service based at either Caritas House, Orpington, or Beckenham Beacon Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled clinician with expertise in both high-risk foot care and MSK podiatry to support the delivery of specialist podiatry services.
The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload, including high-risk patients and wound care management, while working within a supportive multidisciplinary environment focused on delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a specialist caseload of high-risk podiatry patients
- Assess, treat, and monitor patients requiring wound care and ulcer management
- Provide specialist MSK podiatry assessment and treatment
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans
- Deliver patient education to support self-management and prevention strategies
- Make appropriate discharge decisions and onward referrals where required
- Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with professional standards
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes
Qualifications and Experience
- HCPC registered Podiatrist
- Experience working at Band 7 level or equivalent
- Extensive experience managing high-risk foot caseloads
- Proven wound care and ulcer management experience
- Strong background in MSK Podiatry
- Confidence in patient discharge planning and onward referrals
- Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently within a clinic-based setting
