About the Role

As the Line Lead, Lot Operations, you are the ground-floor coordinator of all vehicle movement. You will oversee high-volume vehicle flow across the lot, ensuring incoming units, service vehicles, and outbound deliveries are staged, parked, and moved efficiently without gridlock or delays. You will lead a team of attendants in an active, outdoor, fast-moving environment where precision, speed, and spatial awareness are essential. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in organized chaos, has strong logistical instincts, and can maintain control in high-pressure, high-volume conditions.

  • Oversee end-to-end vehicle movement across intake, staging, service, and delivery zones
  • Ensure smooth coordination between incoming transport, shop workflow, and outbound deliveries
  • Maintain operational flow across a high-volume overnight environment
  • Lead attendants in real time to ensure consistent execution of parking and movement standards

High-Density Flow Coordination

  • Act as the lead coordinator for all vehicle arrivals and departures across the lot
  • Break down vehicle movement into clear staging zones to avoid confusion or congestion
  • Continuously monitor entry and exit points to prevent bottlenecks
  • Reassign attendants dynamically based on volume spikes and priority areas
  • Optimize parking layout to maximize space while maintaining emergency access and “first-out” readiness

Hands-On Floor Leadership

  • Stay physically present on the lot to direct real-time vehicle movement
  • Demonstrate correct parking and movement techniques for attendants to follow
  • Give immediate feedback to improve speed, accuracy, and safety compliance
  • Reinforce safety standards including speed control, pedestrian awareness, and visibility rules
  • Step in directly during complex or high-risk repositioning situations

Inventory Integrity & Audit

  • Perform regular zone counts to ensure physical inventory matches system records
  • Identify stalled, misplaced, or underutilized vehicles in the workflow
  • Maintain organized, clearly structured lot sections for efficient navigation
  • Support accurate tracking of all vehicle locations and statuses in real time
  • Ensure lot layout supports operational speed and clarity

Problem Solving & Agility

  • Respond quickly to unexpected issues such as early transport arrivals or inoperable vehicles
  • Remove operational blockers in real time to keep vehicle flow moving
  • Coordinate closely with production, shop leads, and delivery teams on timing and priorities
  • Resolve most issues directly on the floor before escalation is needed
  • Maintain steady flow even during high-pressure or high-volume surges

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in high-volume vehicle flow environments (valet, rental fleets, logistics yards, auction lots, or similar)
  • Strong spatial awareness and ability to organize dense parking layouts efficiently
  • Comfortable working outdoors in fast-paced, physically demanding conditions
  • Clear, confident communication for directing teams in loud environments
  • Strong decision-making ability under pressure with minimal supervision

Why You’ll Love It at Clutch

  • Autonomy & Ownership: You directly impact how efficiently vehicles move through the operation
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Every day is active, dynamic, and different
  • Leadership Opportunity: You lead real-time operations and guide a frontline team
  • Career Growth: Exposure to automotive logistics, production, and operations leadership paths
  • Team Culture: Work with a group focused on accountability, speed, and continuous improvement

Employment Type

  • Existing, Permanent Full-Time

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly wage: $25.00 per hour
  • Overtime opportunities based on operational demand
  • Health & dental benefits package
  • Stable full-time employment
  • Exposure to fast-growing automotive operations environment

Working Conditions

  • 100% On-Site: Outdoor, physically active role in all weather conditions
  • High Mobility: Continuous walking, standing, and vehicle movement throughout the shift
