Sonora at Splendido was recognized with the  AHCA/NCAL Bronze National Quality Award for its skilled nursing care, an honor recognizing dedication to quality care and continuous improvement.We are seeking an accomplished and licensed Administrator to lead our healthcare operations while fostering a culture of wellness, safety, regulatory excellence, and resident-centered care. The ideal candidate will be a licensed Administrator in good standing with the Arizona Nursing Home Administrator Licensing Board, possess 5+ years of leadership experience in long-term care administration, hold CPR/AED certification, and demonstrate a strong working knowledge of state and federal regulations governing skilled nursing and assisted living communities. Candidates with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Health Services and experience within a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) or Life Plan Community are strongly preferred. This leader thrives in a wellness-driven environment, is passionate about creating meaningful moments for residents and families, and brings a proven ability to lead high-performing teams while driving quality, safety, compliance, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will be a visible, hands-on leader who embodies Mather's Wellness Model, Mission, Vision, Values, and Nextraordinary philosophy while helping advance Splendido's reputation as one of Arizona's premier senior living and healthcare destinations.

This is a full-time, 100% in-person salaried position.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Serves as risk, quality, and safety leader in the Life Centre to reduce and mitigate adverse events; enhances the quality of care and services to residents and customers. Provides leadership in the Life Centre in developing and maintaining a culture of safety at the community. Participates in Integrated Risk, Quality, and Safety meetings at local and HQ level.
  • Leads planning and oversees implementation of therapeutic programs to maximize resident wellness.
  • Maintains census according to budget through marketing, resident and family satisfaction initiatives, and admissions programs
  • Ensures that staffing is maintained via recruitment and retention strategies.
  • Leads licensing and survey processes and activities.
  • Ensures that all staff development, training, licensing and certification requirements are maintained.
  • Ensures that federal and state regulations are met.
  • Develops, follows, and enforces policies and practices to ensure consistency with current standards promulgated by local, state, and federal regulatory bodies.
  • Establishes, operationalizes, engages team members in, and sustains a Quality Assurance Process Improvement process.
  • Identifies and reports deviations from safe practice/risk management issues.
  • Is competent in managing emergency situations based on Safety Manual, Internal and External Emergency Preparedness and other policies.
  • Follows procedures that promote adherence to the Mather Code of Conduct and applicable statutes and regulations of the Corporate Compliance program.
  • Uses a customer-focused approach to problem solving, goal setting and management philosophy.
  • Maintains a courteous and professional manner through interactions with others.
  • Communicates with residents and families in a timely manner; provides support to residents and families.
  • Uses discretion in handling confidential information, incorporating all Federal, State and local privacy and confidentiality requirements.
  • Accountable for all relevant human resource functions including but not limited to: hiring, terminations, counseling, retention, disciplinary actions, and performance evaluations.
  • Demonstrates understanding of and commitment to the company Mission, Vision and Values, and Nextraordinary philosophy.
  • Create exceptional experiences for internal and external customers in every interaction.
  • Is a company steward in managing the use of material resources.
  • Participates in sales and promotion of the community. 
  • Increases personal growth and development through formal and informal education programs.
  • Facilitates teamwork between functional departments to promote effective care delivery.
  • Provides leadership, support and guidance to related departments to assure operational success.
  •  Participates in employee wellness opportunities and creates opportunities for team members to participate.
  • Interactions with employees, residents, resident representatives, and guests will reflect Mather’s principles of inclusion.
  •  Applies the concepts of the Mather Wellness Model and the 3 A’s in the care of residents; Achievement, Autonomy, and Affiliation.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Required:

  • Current state Administrator license and in good standing with state Nursing home Administrator licensing board.
  • 5+ years’ leadership experience in long term care administration.
  • CPR/AED certification.
  • Working knowledge of state and federal regulations for the administration of skilled and assisted living facilities.

Preferred:

  • Masters or Bachelor of Science in Health Services from an accredited college.
  • Experience in a Continuing Care/Retirement Community/Life Plan Community.
