About this Legal and Admin Internship role at Appsamurai
We are looking for a Legal Intern to join our Finance & Legal team and support the legal backbone of our business. This role is an ideal entry point to a legal career at startups that operate internationally.
You will assist with legal filings, documentation, agreements, resolutions, meeting minutes, and other legal operations, while also supporting the Finance team with finance-related documentation and administrative processes when needed.
This role is ideal for new Law graduates or last year students who are organized, detail-oriented, and curious about how legal and finance functions work together in a fast paced international startup.
What you will do

Work closely with an agile team of employees while having a chance to touch many different areas of the company's area of business.

Assist legal counsel to review contracts and legally direct procedures.

Assist legal counsel to draft resolutions, meeting minutes, bylaws, operating agreements, partnership agreements, formation documents, and other corporate governance documents in compliance with applicable law.

Prepare and execute various filings

Perform legal/administrative tasks such as notary visits, document categorization, filing etc.

Assist financial and accounting-related activities in a timely manner with the Finance team.

Perform research on corporate law, employment law, tax law, privacy law matters.

Legal research in general.

Assist in onboarding, orientation and off-boarding activities and preparation and maintenance of personal files.

Assisting company employees in their day to day questions and requests.

Manage day to day financial, operational and administrative tasks assigned.

Other legal and finance related responsibilities and tasks to be assigned, as needed.
Who You Are

New graduate with a Law degree, or last year at university with a Legal major or minor.

It is critical that you have a strong, proactive work ethic, an un-tempered intellectual curiosity, and the ability to work effectively independently and collaboratively with a team. Working knowledge of basic corporate law and corporate governance principles

Proven experience working with legal documents, contracts, or leases

Process-oriented with the ability to critically review current procedures and policies and recommend and implement changes.

Strong verbal and written communication skills in English with legal terminology

Sound professional judgment, logic, and reasoning

Keen attention to detail and penchant for accuracy, timeliness, and organization

Superior problem-solving skills, proactive and hard-working

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, collaborative tools, and legal support application
