We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our growing finance team. In this role, you will provide critical support for day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, expense management, and statutory tax compliance. As a Junior Accountant you will focus on the following:
Daily Financial Operations
- Accounts Payable: Assist in processing vendor invoices, verifying supporting documents, and preparing payment vouchers.
- Expense & Reimbursements: Review employee expense reports and reimbursements to ensure alignment with company policies.
- Data Entry: Accurately encode financial transactions into the accounting system in a timely manner.
- Bookkeeping: Maintain and update general ledgers, sub-ledgers, and digital archives of all financial records.
Administrative & Team Support
- Vendor Coordination: Assist with the vendor accreditation process and handle routine communication regarding billing discrepancies.
- Ad-Hoc Tasks: Provide administrative and operational support to the Finance Supervisor on special projects or process improvements.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience in general accounting or bookkeeping (fresh graduates with strong internship backgrounds are highly welcome).
Technical & Professional Skills
- Accounting Knowledge: Solid foundational understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping concepts.
- Tech Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel (data sorting, basic formulas like VLOOKUP/SUMIF).
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in data entry and a keen eye for spotting numerical discrepancies.
- Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with local vendors and team members.
- Work Ethic: Strong organizational skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Nice to have:
- License: Reviewee or passer of the CPA board exam (or intent to take it in the near future).
- Software: Basic exposure to ERP or accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Xero, QuickBooks).
