About the Role
The IT & Workplace Services Specialist is responsible for delivering reliable, secure, and efficient IT services that support employees' day-to-day operations. The role manages the lifecycle of company devices, user access, SaaS subscriptions, workplace technology, and first-line IT support while ensuring compliance with company security standards and operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of company laptops and mobile devices, including procurement, configuration, deployment, maintenance, repair, recovery, and disposal.
- Ensure new employees receive fully configured equipment on or before their first working day.
- Administer user onboarding and offboarding by provisioning and revoking access to approved business systems within established service levels.
- Process application access requests, permission changes, and approved endpoint security exceptions, escalating where appropriate.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets, software licenses, and SaaS subscriptions.
- Monitor software license utilization, coordinate renewals, and support cost optimization in collaboration with Finance.
- Maintain the reliability of workplace technology, including office networks, Wi-Fi, conferencing systems, audiovisual equipment, and display screens.
- Provide first-line IT support by resolving user issues promptly and escalating complex issues when required.
- Maintain IT documentation, asset records, support procedures, and operational runbooks to ensure audit readiness and process consistency.
- Ensure all company devices remain compliant with endpoint protection and organizational security policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in IT Administration, IT Operations, or Workplace Technology, preferably within a fast-paced technology or services environment.
- Experience managing Windows, macOS, and Linux devices throughout their lifecycle.
- Hands-on experience with Google Workspace administration and user access management.
- Familiarity with endpoint protection solutions, basic identity and access management, and IT security best practices.
- Experience managing SaaS subscriptions, software licensing, and IT asset inventories.
- Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to following established processes while escalating issues outside delegated authority.
