About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented IT Operations Specialist to run day-to-day IT operations at Nex. You will play a critical part in keeping employees productive, secure, and equipped with reliable technology as we scale. The ideal candidate is a proactive, service-oriented problem solver who can own IT operations workstreams end-to-end and execute independently, while coordinating with a global team across time zones.
This role partners closely with our Information Security team on security-related operations. If you bring broader experience in IT strategy, procurement, or infrastructure, we’d love to hear about it — there’s room to grow the scope of this role over time.

- Administer corporate workspace IT and networking infrastructure — Wi-Fi, server room equipment, and videoconferencing — for the San Jose office
- Provide remote support for Hong Kong office networking and videoconferencing systems
- Respond to day-to-day employee IT support requests (helpdesk tickets) with speed and clarity
Strategy & Cross-Functional Support
- Ownership and maintenance of internal IT-owned systems and infrastructure for shared use by multiple functional groups
- Support on business applications and systems procurement, contract negotiation and budget management
- Support delivery of employee IT security training (e.g., anti-phishing awareness) in coordination with InfoSec
- Provide input on device management strategy (e.g., MDM/MAID tooling) based on day-today operational experience
- Assist with vendor coordination and support tickets for outsourced IT operations, as directed

- Familiarity with core networking concepts (Wi-Fi, VPN, firewalls) and videoconferencing hardware/software (e.g., Zoom Rooms)
- Experience with endpoint security tools (anti-virus/EDR) and basic access-control administration (e.g., 2FA)
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a service-oriented approach to internal IT support
- Ability to work independently while coordinating with colleagues across time zones (Hong
Kong, U.S. and Europe)
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to device management strategy (e.g., MDM/MAID tooling selection and roadmap) or corporate account strategy (e.g., Google Workspace), balancing security with operational
efficiency - Exposure to access provisioning and security strategy for more sensitive systems (e.g., contributing to 2FA/MFA policy, not just administering standard access)
- Exposure to business application procurement, contract negotiation, or vendor management
- Exposure to ownership of shared infrastructure (e.g., cloud systems, data lake) across multiple teams
- Exposure to ownership of customer-facing systems (e.g., Shopify, corporate websites)
- Experience supporting a hybrid or multi-office environment
- Experience in consumer tech, gaming, or hardware companies
We Offer
- Competitive compensation package.
