Role Overview

Interpath Advisory, a leading financial advisory business, is seeking an Associate Director to join its Integration team within the Integration practice. This is a senior, highly autonomous role for a candidate able to lead complex integration, carve-out and internal projects governance workstreams end-to-end to provide genuine analytical and advisory depth.

Interpath's unique approach combines the agility and energy of a young organisation with the quality and experience of a Big 4 firm. The successful candidate will operate as a trusted advisor to Interpath stakeholders, shaping the governance and structure of large-scale M&A integrations and internal initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the design and governance of the M&A Integration Master Plan, including structuring of workstreams, governance forums, and decision-making protocols
  • Execute internal projects arising from the business
  • Drive cross-functional workstream leads (IT, Finance, HR, Operations, Legal, Real Estate, Procurement) and hold them accountable for deliverables, risks, and dependencies
  • Lead change management strategy and ensure coherent communication across entities and leadership levels
  • Perform diagnostic assessments and hypothesis-driven analyses to identify value creation opportunities, and operational improvement initiatives
  • Conduct financial, operational, and organizational analysis to assess synergy opportunities, cost optimization initiatives, and business performance improvement actions
  • Build and maintain detailed management reporting, KPI frameworks, and executive dashboards to track integration progress, value realization, risks, and key business outcomes
  • Translate data and analysis into actionable insights, presenting clear recommendations and implementation roadmaps to senior leadership teams
  • Mentor and develop Assistant Managers, and Senior / Junior Associates contributing to Interpath's practice-building and business development efforts

Requirements

Technical Skills

  • Professional English – Fluent and above C1 level
  • Proven experience leading integration, separation/carve-out, or transformation governance workstreams, ideally from an Integration & Separation (I&S) or Core Consulting background
  • Strong analytical capability across synergy assessment, operating model design, and risk/dependency analysis
  • Advanced proficiency in project governance and reporting tools (Excel, PowerPoint; project trackers a plus)
  • Track record of structuring ambiguous problems into clear governance frameworks with minimal oversight

Soft Skills

  • Highly autonomous, comfortable operating with minimal direction and significant client and leadership exposure
  • Executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills,
  • Ability to work effectively in global and multicultural contexts
  • High resilience and adaptability in fast-changing, high-pressure M&A environments
  • Strong rigour, structured thinking, and an agile, analytical mindset
  • Discretion and professionalism, given regular exposure to senior leadership and confidential information
  • Commercial awareness and an interest in contributing to business development and practice growth

Profile

  • Significant post-qualification experience (typically 10+ years) in M&A integration, carve-out/separation, or core strategy consulting
  • Background in Integration & Separation (I&S) practices or Core Consulting strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or relevant certifications (PMP, Prince2, Agile) a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously and lead workstreams without close supervision
