About the role:

Moonshot is currently recruiting an Insight Manager to support the delivery of projects within a Serious & Organised Crime (SOC) monitoring programme. In this role, you will manage the day-to-day delivery of analytical projects focused on identifying and assessing organised crime activity online.

You will coordinate a team of analysts conducting OSINT monitoring and analysis, ensuring outputs are delivered on time, to a high standard, and aligned with client requirements. The role combines project management with a strong understanding of analytical workflows, requiring the ability to operate in fast-paced environments and support effective delivery across multiple workstreams.

This is a one-year fixed-term contract, with the potential to become permanent subject to performance and project requirements. 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the day-to-day delivery of projects focused on monitoring and analysing organised crime activity online, ensuring outputs are delivered on time and to a high standard.
  • Coordinating workflows across data collection, OSINT monitoring, analysis and reporting.
  • Tasking and supporting a team of analysts, ensuring effective prioritisation of work within high-tempo delivery cycles.
  • Reviewing and quality assuring analytical outputs, including datasets and written reports, to ensure accuracy, consistency and relevance.
  • Tracking project progress against timelines and identifying and mitigating risks to delivery.
  • Supporting the analysis of online organised crime activity, including reviewing large datasets and identifying key patterns, trends and insights.
  • Supporting the development and refinement of research methodologies and processes where needed for project delivery.
  • Managing relationships with clients and supporting the presentation of findings in both written and verbal formats.
  • Contributing to the identification of improvements to workflows, tools and delivery processes.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Candidates will be expected to undertake DBS checks or have, and be willing to apply for SC clearance - typically a minimum of three years’ continuous UK residency within the past five years.
  • Professional experience managing projects involving analysis and investigation using open-source research and OSINT methods.
  • Experience working on or supporting projects focused on serious and organised crime or related public safety issues.
  • Experience coordinating teams or managing delivery within analytical, research or monitoring environments.
  • Strong ability to interpret and work with both quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to tight deadlines in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify patterns and key insights within large datasets.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrable ability to take ownership of tasks and ensure delivery through others.
  • Willingness to be on-call and occasionally work outside regular working hours in response to operational requirements.
  • We require and will check on candidates' eligibility to work in the UK and pass any relevant security clearance procedures per the needs of clients.

Desirable: 

  • Experience working with social media datasets or large-scale online data collection.
  • Familiarity with tools used for data analysis, visualisation or database management.
  • Experience working with government or law enforcement clients.
  • Security clearance at SC level or higher in current role.
