Human Services Coordinator - will be responsible for the management and daily operation of our Community Services Block Grant programs. This position will ensure low-income households located throughout Tarrant County have access to utility and rental assistance, case management, Veteran services and other available resources through, in office and virtual appointments, conducting outreaches and establishing community partnerships.
This position will be responsible for ensuring quality service delivery, coordinating services, staff training, workshops and employment opportunities for clients though the use of available funding provided by Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA). In addition, duties include the ability to work directly with clients and provide case management to clients working towards self-sufficiency.
THIS IS A GRANT-FUNDED POSITION.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in sociology, psychology, social work or a related fieldΒ
- Four (4) years of community services or human services counselling experience, including one year of administrative responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Possession of a BSW, LMSW, LPC and/or LCDDC
- Bilingual Skills (English/Spanish)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
The Human Services Coordinator's job responsibilities include:
- Supervising case managers, clerical staff, volunteers and/or social service interns
- Intake, assessment, and case management services
- Compiling and completing reports indicating use of funds, grant compliance and performance
- Providing career coaching, information and referrals as appropriate
- Providing empathetic and compassionate customer service to program participants and agency partners
- Support and training to staff to administering program
- Coordinating events, workshops, classes and training that support client and participant empowerment, education and resources
- Communicating decisions, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures to staff, clients or customers verbally and in writing
