As a People Operations Intern, you will play an active, hands-on role across the full employee lifecycle, talent acquisition support, HR process ownership, culture-building, and learning & development. This is not a purely administrative role — you will be trusted to own workstreams end-to-end, exercise judgment, and work directly with stakeholders across Malaysia, Singapore, and North America. This role offers deep exposure to both the operational backbone of HR and the culture-building programs that make Rapsodo a thriving workplace. Due to the sensitivity of information handled, absolute professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion are required.
What you'll do
People Operations & Employee Lifecycle (ELC)
- Own key employee lifecycle tasks end-to-end: pre-onboarding, onboarding, and offboarding
- Prepare HR documents (offer letters, onboarding kits, checklists, exit materials) with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Maintain and update HR trackers, employee records, and shared drives, ensuring consistency and accessibility.
- Act as the first point of contact for HR queries in the KL office, providing guidance and sharing relevant resources or SOPs with employees as needed.
HR Process Building & Systems Ownership
- Take ownership of shaping and refining the ELC process
- Help with HR process clean-up, ensuring all templates, forms, and trackers are up-to-date and standardized.
- Learn directly from global HR colleagues, helping where possible and documenting insights to help shape better processes.
- Suggest improvements to processes, documentation, and communication — we're always open to better ways of working.
Talent Acquisition Support
- Coordinate interview scheduling for hiring managers and interview panels
- Conduct resume screening across a range of roles
- Conduct phone screens and document clear, well-reasoned candidate assessments to support hiring manager decisions.
- Collaborate with HRBPs throughout the internship recruitment process, including postings and candidate coordination.
Employee Engagement & Culture Events
- Own the planning and execution of quarterly culture and bonding events, bringing creative ideas that build a strong team culture.
- Collaborate with interns across global offices on shared projects that reflect and strengthen “Team Rapsodo” — our shared identity across regions.
Learning & Development
- Design and develop L&D content and programs for the team.
- Developing L&D initiatives into fully-fledged projects, from concept through to rollout.
Requirements
Who You Are
- Must be a student from a Malaysian university.
- A university student or fresh graduate in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field.
- Available for a 6-month full-time internship.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive — you like to take ownership.
- Strong aptitude for problem solving and ability to organize and prioritize work independently across multiple workstreams.
- Comfortable exercising judgment and making recommendations, not just following instructions.
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced, dynamic and multi-cultural environment, including collaborating with stakeholders across time zones.
- Creative and comfortable proposing and driving new ideas, especially around culture and engagement.
- Being a sports enthusiast is a strong plus.
- Curious about people, culture, and how HR works across different regions.
