Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Qualifications & Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program
- Current Texas Physical Therapist Assistant license, or eligible to obtain licensure by the anticipated start date
- One year of experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
- Pediatric experience preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
- Provide physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist in accordance with physician-approved plans of care
- Implement treatment plans to improve strength, balance, mobility, coordination, range of motion, endurance, gait, and functional independence
- Educate and train families and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, positioning, mobility techniques, and home programs
- Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation

Pay: $35.00–$40.00 per hour
