Our client is looking for a professional and compassionate Healthcare Receptionist to join their team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while coordinating appointments, supporting healthcare providers, and ensuring a seamless patient experience.
This position is ideal for someone with previous experience in a medical practice or healthcare environment who enjoys working with patients, managing multiple priorities, and maintaining accurate records in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Guide patients and families through the onboarding process to ensure a smooth start to services.
- Conduct follow-up check-ins after the first appointment, first week, and first month to ensure patients are satisfied with their care.
- Build positive relationships with patients and families by providing ongoing support and answering questions.
- Coordinate communication between Clinical, Scheduling, Billing, Intake, and other internal teams to resolve issues promptly.
- Escalate patient concerns to the appropriate team members when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all patient interactions.
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments where required.
- Respond to incoming calls, emails, and other patient enquiries professionally and efficiently.
- Monitor patient satisfaction and identify opportunities to improve the patient experience.
- Ensure patient records are updated accurately while maintaining confidentiality.
- Support the day-to-day administrative operations of the healthcare team.
- Deliver a compassionate, professional, and patient-focused experience in every interaction.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Healthcare Receptionist, Medical Receptionist, Medical Administrator, Patient Coordinator, or similar role.
- Experience working in a healthcare, medical, or social care setting.
- Fluent English with a clear, neutral accent.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail.
- Experience scheduling appointments and coordinating patient care.
- Knowledge of insurance verification, prior authorisations, and referrals is advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and healthcare systems (EMR/EHR experience is beneficial).
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
