About this Head of Operations - Luxury Home & Garden role at Keller Executive Search
Our client is a premium, manufacturer of bespoke, made-to-order structures for high-end residential and specialty commercial markets, known for precision engineering and a considered, white-glove customer experience. With manufacturing based internationally and a fast-growing US operation shipping, warehousing, and installing nationwide, the company is entering its next phase of growth and is looking for a senior operations leader to build the infrastructure to match. This is a newly created, high-impact leadership role reporting directly to a senior executive.
- Own the full US operations lifecycle: importation, customs compliance, warehousing, inventory planning, nationwide logistics, on-site delivery, installation, and post-install customer care.
- Reduce the current order-to-installation timeline by proactively managing permitting, approvals, and site readiness with customers, rather than waiting on them.
- Redesign installation team scheduling and workflows to increase throughput and reduce travel and operating costs across a nationwide field team.
- Build a more structured, transparent communication cadence across the customer journey, from order through installation and aftercare.
- Assess, coach, and develop a high-performing operations team, including field and office-based staff.
- Strengthen collaboration with sales leadership on handoffs, shared customer context, and communication protocols.
- Partner closely with the international parent business to absorb and adapt best practice.
- Hold full P&L accountability for US operations.
- Travel approximately 25%+ of the time to installation sites and customer locations across the US, with occasional international travel.
Required Qualifications
Requirements
- 5+ years of senior leadership experience in field installation, supply chain, logistics, or general operations management within a high-value, luxury B2C environment.
- Experience managing international import/customs processes alongside US-based fulfillment operations.
- Experience leading complex, multi-site field service, assembly, or installation networks with remote teams.
- Proven P&L ownership and financial accountability.
- A genuinely hands-on operator, comfortable moving between office, customer, and job-site environments.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement new processes and drive change, not just plan for it.
- Ability to travel domestically on a regular basis, with occasional international travel.
- Valid driver's license and passport.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating within an international or UK-linked parent company structure.
- Background in bespoke, made-to-order, or high-consideration purchase categories rather than transactional retail.
- Experience scaling operations within a high-growth or investor-backed business.
Benefits
- Base salary: $170,000 to $190,000, commensurate with experience (exceptional candidates may be considered above this range).
- Annual performance bonus tied to company performance
- 401(k) with employer match.
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance, partially employer paid.
- Paid vacation (inclusive of a company shutdown period).
