WHO YOU ARE 

This Darwin-based role will manage end-to-end payroll processing across multiple entities within the DCOH Group, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely delivery of payroll services while providing valuable workforce reporting and insights. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • 2–3+ years' experience in a high-volume payroll position, ideally across multiple entities or business units
  • Strong understanding of payroll legislation, industrial awards, enterprise agreements, and compliance requirements
  • Experience managing end-to-end payroll processing, reconciliations, and payroll-related reporting
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret payroll data and identify trends
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and confidentiality
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet strict payroll deadlines
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with employees, managers, and stakeholders
  • Experience using payroll, time and attendance, and financial systems, including HumanForce or similar platforms
  • Ability to contribute to process improvement, system optimisation, and payroll governance initiatives

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Process end-to-end payroll across all Group entities, ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery
  • Administer payroll transactions including new starters, terminations, timesheets, adjustments, and off-cycle payments
  • Calculate termination payments, prepare Separation Certificates, and manage offboarding payroll requirements
  • Maintain employee payroll records, tax information, banking details, and payroll documentation
  • Prepare payroll journals, reconciliations, accruals, and general ledger postings
  • Manage payroll-related cash administration including ABA file preparation, banking uploads, and intercompany transactions
  • Prepare and lodge payroll-related statutory obligations including PAYG, IAS, superannuation, and workers compensation reporting
  • Support EOFY payroll activities including reconciliations, leave provision calculations, STP finalisation, and audit requirements
  • Generate payroll, labour cost, and headcount reports for Finance, HR, and business leaders
  • Provide payroll data and insights to support workforce planning, budgeting, forecasting, and business decision-making
  • Maintain payroll and HumanForce systems, supporting testing, upgrades, integrations, and data integrity
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, reporting, efficiency, and automation
  • Maintain accurate payroll procedures and documentation to support compliance and knowledge sharing
  • Act as the first point of contact for payroll queries and provide support to employees and managers
  • Work collaboratively with Finance and People & Culture teams to ensure the accurate flow of payroll information
  • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement while representing DCOH professionally and ethically
