KORRES is a Greek skincare brand, born out of Athens’ oldest homeopathic pharmacy in 1996. Founded by Greek Pharmacist George Korres that believes in the innate potency of natural ingredients and chemical engineer Lena Korres that believes that nature is the inspiration for scientific discovery.

Inspired by the most powerful natural ingredients and local traditions, KORRES delivers effective natural products; discovered in nature and nurtured by science. KORRES collaborates with over 15 different European academic universities to do ground-breaking research into the power of plants. Our research shapes and nurtures nature’s inherent powers.

Greece rests at the heart of the brand; a paradise of plants, a recognised global biodiversity hotspot. Despite its small size, it hosts more than 6.500 plants, 1.200 out of which are endemic, they cannot be found anywhere else in the world. For KORRES it was imperative to focus and protect the Greek flora and the local communities. It was a conscious choice not to cultivate ourselves the herbs that we need; we wanted to present our local farmers with new opportunities and to support the local economy, investing in under-developed rural regions, teaching sustainable farming practices. Santorini Vine, Olympus Mountain Tea, Cretan Dittany and Olive Oil, Arcadian Chestnut, Saffron of Kozani and the list goes on. We work together with micro-farmers, agricultural unions, social and educational institution – this is our network of ethical, fair-trade cooperations. We promote organic farming and we extract these herbs in our innovative, environmentally-friendly, zero-waste extraction unit.

Sustainable practices have been an essential part of KORRES DNA since the very beginning.

We manufacture our own products in Greece in our factory, internationally certified for its environmental practices.

We apply an extended negative-list when developing our products, trying to avoid the use of specific synthetic ingredients that can be harmful to the environment, such as microbeads and silicones.

We manufacture on a no-waste principle, we send our excess plant material to our farmers as compost.

All our packaging is recyclable; just to name a few parameters of our sustainable profile.

Today KORRES takes Greek herbs around the world through more than 400 natural products, with brand presence in 30 markets. It’s all about clean, effective plant-powered formulas that capture the beauty of Greece in harmony with nature.
