Who You Are  

As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will build and maintain the internal applications that power Goodway's products and workflows. You'll develop intuitive user experiences, scalable backend services, and APIs that enable our teams to make smarter, data-driven decisions. Working closely with Product, Data Engineering, Analytics, and Data Science, you'll help deliver software that is reliable, maintainable, and built with the end user in mind. 

What You Will Do  

  • Build modern web applications - Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using React, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and AWS technologies. 
  • Develop backend services and APIs - Build scalable services and integrations that connect applications with internal platforms, data services, and third-party systems. 
  • Create great user experiences - Develop responsive interfaces and workflow tools that simplify complex business processes and data visualization. 
  • Collaborate across teams - Partner with Product, Data Engineering, Analytics, and Data Science to translate business requirements into thoughtful technical solutions. 
  • Write high-quality software - Develop clean, maintainable, well-tested code while participating in code reviews and following engineering best practices. 
  • Contribute to technical design - Participate in architecture and design discussions, helping shape solutions that balance scalability, maintainability, and speed of delivery. 
  • Continuously improve - Identify opportunities to improve application performance, deployment processes, developer experience, and internal workflows. 

What You Bring  

  • 4+ years of professional software engineering experience  
  • Strong experience with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Node.js  
  • Experience building REST APIs and modern web applications  
  • Experience working with AWS cloud services  
  • Experience with Git and modern CI/CD practices  
  • Strong understanding of software design, testing, and debugging  
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a remote environment  
  • Experience building data-driven applications or dashboards  
  • Familiarity with SQL and data visualization concepts  
  • Experience with Docker or Kubernetes  
  • Exposure to Python or data engineering workflows  
  • Experience integrating AI or automation into software applications 

As part of the interview process, candidates will be asked to do a live coding interview with members of our engineering team. You'll be asked to share your screen and talk through your thought process while solving a problem. You may use any programming language and code editor you're comfortable with, but AI tools are not permitted.
