Your Role
We’re seeking a Fraud Analyst to join our Fraud team (Second Line of Defense). You will support the full fraud second-line remit end to end across four areas: governance, policies and independent challenge of first line controls; regulatory by coordinating SAMA/CBUAE engagements, supervisory notifications, the regulatory observation register and the Internal Audit interface; risk assessment & control testing supporting the annual Fraud Risk Assessment, risk-based control testing, the risk appetite/KRI framework and issue/remediation tracking; and reporting, data & models, and maintaining data governance for regulatory requests. Throughout, you stay strictly Second Line you frame, challenge and assure, and never build or run First Line controls.
You will analyze data, investigate fraud cases, identify control gaps, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure strong preventive and detective measures are in place. You’ll assist in preparing fraud-related evidence and documentation for regulatory inquiries, internal reviews, or governance reporting, helping ensure Tamara’s fraud environment remains compliant and mature.

Your Responsibilities
- Support the execution of Tamara’s Fraud Framework, focusing on fraud investigations, data analysis, and reporting.
- Analyze transactional and operational data using SQL or analytical tools to detect trends and control weaknesses.
- Assist in preparing evidence, documentation, and reports for internal governance bodies and, when required, regulatory submissions.
- Support fraud risk assessments, testing activities, and follow-ups on identified issues or control enhancements.
- Contribute to maintaining fraud policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and operational clarity.
- Collaborate with Fraud Operations to validate case resolutions, identify recurring patterns, and propose control improvements.
Your Expertise
- 2–3 years in fraud risk, risk & control, internal audit, compliance, or a second-line/assurance role ideally in fintech, banking, or payments.
- Exposure to fraud analytics, data analysis, or SQL for case validation and trend detection.
- Strong investigative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and propose corrective actions.
- Familiarity with SAMA’s Counter-Fraud Framework (CFF) or similar regulatory standards is a plus.
- Educational background in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and high integrity when handling confidential information.
- Understanding of the three-lines-of-defense model and the independence boundary between First and Second Line.
- Strong analytical and data skills: comfortable working with fraud/loss data, building MI, and producing KRI dashboards (Excel/Sheets essential; SQL a strong plus).
- Excellent written English — able to draft committee papers, regulatory responses, and clear, structured documentation.
- High attention to detail, ownership of deadlines, and ability to chase actions to closure across multiple teams.
