About the role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate Director (Tax) to join the Financial Planning Team within Private Clients. In the role, the successful candidate will:
- This role focuses on delivering tax planning and advisory services to high-net-worth individuals and corporate clients.
- The successful candidate will have a strong interest in building a career within private client wealth management, leveraging their technical expertise to provide tailored, strategic advice.
- Working as part of a collaborative team of in-house financial planning specialists, the individual will provide technical support, contribute to client meetings, and partner closely with financial advisers to deliver comprehensive solutions.
- As part of a dynamic and forward-thinking team, the role requires strong project management and organisational skills, along with an innovative mindset, to drive effective outcomes for both existing clients and new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Financial Planning team to design and deliver tailored financial planning and investment solutions for high-net-worth clients, drawing on expertise across pensions, taxation, and investments.
- Support the development of tax-efficient wealth management strategies for UHNW families in partnership with clients’ tax and legal advisers, including advising on the taxation of investment solutions.
- Continuously enhance and innovate the firm’s service offering to ensure delivery of market-leading, holistic advice
- Play a key role in promoting and marketing the firm’s financial planning services
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key intermediaries and professional service firms
- Provide technical tax training to financial planners and advisers.
- Produce topical technical updates and ongoing tax guidance for advisers and clients.
- Ensure full compliance with all applicable Risk and Compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
About you
We are looking for somebody who has the following background and skills:
- Degree or Master’s level qualification
- Minimum of two + years’ post-qualification experience in a client-facing technical role, preferably within private client services
- Strong knowledge of Irish tax, with a working understanding of pensions and investment products
- Fully qualified Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA)
- Additional professional qualifications are advantageous (e.g. Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP), Qualified Solicitor, Qualified Accountant, Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Qualified Financial Adviser (QFA))
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Self-motivated, proactive, and entrepreneurial mindset, with excellent planning and organisational abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and effectively manage stakeholders, with a proven ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships
- Meets Fitness & Probity standards as required.
