About The Position:
Based in Ireland, the Finance Associate will join our team for a 12-month fixed-term contract. The main responsibilities include the management of financial accounting and reporting, payroll, and tax compliance frameworks for several EMEA entities, alongside supporting new service lines and enhanced financial processes. This role will place a heavy emphasis on managing complex intercompany ecosystems and bridging corporate reporting with local compliance.
What You Will Do:
Month-End & Process Operations
- Entity Close: Manage the monthly close process for several assigned entities, including standard financial statement reconciliations.
- Financial Analysis: Provide meaningful analysis for subsidiary and corporate-level financial statements.
- Payroll Review: Review payroll changes collated by our financial operations team across multiple entities.
- Systems & Transformation: Support the Finance team on numerous projects, including the enhancements of our ERP system and the rollout of any new service lines.
- Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency, streamline workflows and controls, and continually identify opportunities for automation.
US GAAP to Local Statutory Reconciliations
- Dual-Ledger Alignment: Maintain a comprehensive overview and record of accounting differences between US GAAP corporate reporting and local statutory accounting requirements.
- Report Preparation: Assist in the preparation of US GAAP and statutory financial reports, tracking and documenting bridging adjustments in collaboration with local service providers.
- Compliance & Tax Filings: Assist in the preparation of statutory financial reports, tax and other compliance filings required in collaboration with local service providers.
- Audit Support: Assist other members of the Finance team on financial statement audits, providing clear reconciliation schedules from US GAAP trial balances to audited local statutory books.
Intercompany Accounting & Reconciliation
- Ledger & Matrix Matching: Manage monthly intercompany accounting processes, ensuring cross-border transactions, recharges, and balances align perfectly across assigned international entities.
- Reconciliation & Dispute Resolution: Perform routine intercompany balance sheet reconciliations, identifying variances and collaborating with global finance peers to resolve discrepancies prior to ledger closure.
What We Are Looking For:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related area is essential
- Qualified Accountant/Part-Qualified (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in progressive accounting – publicly traded company experience desirable
- Experience in multi-national environment including multi-currency translations and consolidations
- Payroll experience in multiple countries is an advantage
- Advanced Excel skills
- Workday experience is an advantage
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate good interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle a high volume of time sensitive data
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment
- Experience in collaborating with remote colleagues and employees globally
- Ability to work from remote or home office locations
The annual gross fixed pay range for this position is €56,800 - €71,000 plus variable compensation
