What you might expect:
- Integration with client’s senior management to solve complex accounting issues and for preparation of proposed resolutions.
- Review of work prepared by consultants on operational due diligence for complex transactions (i.e. – acquisitions and divestitures, stock offerings, debt raises, IPO’s).
- Review of consultants’ deliverables of financial and regulatory information in accordance with SEC and regulatory requirements (i.e. – 10K’s, 10Q’s, S-1 and S-4 filings, audit coordination).
- Research and documentation projects related to new ASC accounting standards.
- Process improvement projects and implementation of changes.
- Lead and mentor consultants, acting as a role model, and providing creative solutions that enhance the consultant’s overall experience.
- Participate in the firm’s recruiting efforts, client relationship building, and business development efforts.
What you must have:
- 5–8 years of experience in public accounting, accounting advisory, consulting, and/or corporate accounting/finance.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience at a Big 4 firm (Deloitte, EY, KPMG, or PwC).
What sets you apart:
- Experience applying U.S. GAAP through financial statement preparation, audit engagements, month-end close, financial reporting, or technical accounting research.
- Experience leading engagement workstreams, supervising staff, and managing project timelines and deliverables.
- Experience reviewing work product, providing guidance to junior team members, and serving as a primary point of contact for clients.
- Experience applying accounting and financial reporting knowledge to solve complex business and accounting challenges.
Nice to have:
- CPA license or active progress toward CPA certification.
- Experience with SEC reporting and filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and S-1, or public-company financial reporting environments.
- Experience performing technical accounting research, preparing accounting memoranda, and/or applying guidance in complex accounting areas, including revenue recognition, leases, business combinations, or stock-based compensation.
