All our solutions are accompanied by comprehensive maintenance services, to ensure the solutions run 365 days a year. We are currently operational in Nigeria, Ghana, Togo, Senegal & Ivory Coast.

We are looking to engage a competent and experienced Field Service Technician to maintain and operate our sites in Niger, Nigeria. He or she will troubleshoot and repair PV inverters, commission new equipment, and increase customer satisfaction through quality service and professional behaviour.

Key responsibilities:

A. Operations & Maintenance

  • Execute operational and maintenance procedures for all deployed power assets, including solar panels, batteries, inverters, diesel/gas generators, and hybrid systems.
  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance activities as scheduled or assigned by the Field Service Engineer or Manager.
  • Perform on-site troubleshooting, diagnostics, and resolution of system faults.
  • Monitor site equipment performance and escalate abnormalities promptly.
  • Ensure adherence to maintenance best practices to maximize asset lifespan and system reliability.
  • Maintain accurate logs, service reports, checklists, and documentation for internal records and client communication.

B. Site Support & Service Delivery

  • Support the achievement of site uptime targets (minimum 99% or higher per operational requirements).
  • Assist with site installation tasks, system commissioning, equipment configuration, and component replacements.
  • Ensure proper handling and management of spare parts and tools.
  • Provide on‑site technical support during emergencies or system outages.
  • Interface with clients professionally, ensuring timely updates and issue resolution.

C. Compliance & QHSE

  • Comply strictly with all Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) standards.
  • Report hazards, unsafe conditions, and incidents immediately.
  • Ensure safe use of tools, PPE, and equipment at all times.
  • Support site audits and inspections.

D. Coordination & Communication

  • Work closely with Field Service Engineers, NOC, Projects, SCM, and QHSE teams for seamless service delivery.
  • Communicate site challenges promptly and recommend practical solutions.
  • Participate in training programs to upgrade technical skills and maintain competency in renewable energy systems.

Working condition:

    • Approximately 5% of time shall be spent in office environments with the remaining time in the field.

Physical requirements:

    • The Technician shall be capable of lifting up to 20kg; stand for an extended period of time; work in outdoor environment.

Requirements

1. Education: Minimum of an Ordinary national diploma or Higher National Diploma in Engineering Preferably Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical.

2. Experience:

  • Minimum of 1–2 years’ hands‑on experience in power systems maintenance (renewable energy experience is a strong advantage).
  • Experience with installation, troubleshooting, or repair of electrical/solar/hybrid power systems preferred.

3. Language Proficiency: English.

4. Character:

    • Self-motivated and demonstrate a sense of ownership with high level of commitment and the ability to thrive under pressure.
    • Passionate about quality of workmanship.
    • Good communication skills and ability to lead and work well in teams.
    • Discretion in dealing with sensitive information.
    • Highly organized with ability to manage multiple projects in parallel and prioritize competing demands, passion for renewable energy.

5. Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
  • Basic understanding of electrical safety standards.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • High sense of responsibility, integrity, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently.

6.HSE certification is an advantage.

7. Flexible to travel domestically and internationally.

8. Must demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint in particular).
