Figure is an AI robotics company developing autonomous general-purpose humanoid robots. The goal of the company is to ship humanoid robots with human level intelligence. Its robots are engineered to perform a variety of tasks in the home and commercial markets. Figure is based in San Jose, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration.

We are seeking a Systems Integration Engineer – Power Systems to lead the integration, bring-up, validation, and optimization of offboard charging and power systems for our humanoid robot. This role spans subsystem development through full-robot integration and works closely with electrical, mechanical, firmware, and technician teams to deliver robust, compliant, and high-performance power solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute integration and validation of offboard charging and power systems from subsystem to full-robot level.
  • Coordinate across electrical, mechanical, firmware, and technician teams to integrate charging infrastructure and power interfaces into humanoid robots.
  • Develop and execute benchtop validation plans for AC/DC charging systems, power converters, and supporting hardware.
  • Lead system-level bring-up and validation, including electrical, thermal, and functional testing.
  • Address thermal management challenges; evaluate and validate cooling strategies for offboard charging systems.
  • Perform diagnostics and root-cause analysis on on-robot failures using hardware inspection, instrumentation, and robot data.
  • Drive improvements to integration, testing, and validation workflows based on field and lab results.
  • Document integration processes, test plans, procedures, and validation results for traceability and scaling.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in Electrical Engineering with hands-on systems integration experience.
  • Proven experience integrating custom power or mechatronic systems into real products.
  • Deep understanding of power electronics and power systems (AC/DC, DC-DC, resonant converters).
  • Experience with compliance and EMC testing for power systems.
  • Hands-on, highly technical approach to bring-up, testing, and debugging.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication, planning, and documentation skills.

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience with firmware, automation, or controls related to power systems.
  • Familiarity with robotics, humanoid, or mobile robotic platforms.
  • Experience with thermal management techniques and cooling system design.
  • Leadership experience driving cross-functional integration or validation efforts.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $150,000 and $250,000 annually.

The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional components/benefits depending on the specific role. This information will be shared if an employment offer is extended.
