The brainchild of David Ricks, CEO of Lilly, and incubated by Boston Consulting Group’s Digital Ventures, PrescriberPoint is a Series A healthtech firm (L.P.s Lilly, Pfizer, Adobe, MasterCard) focused on helping HCPs reduce the time, tension, and anxieties they and their patients encounter during the prescribing journey. We offer an end-to-end AI-enabled solution that includes drug awareness and education, medical affairs content, real-time coverage and affordability tools, PA support, and patient start programs, including Sampling.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Director of Business Development with pronounced experience in selling technology to the commercial pharmaceutical industry. Reporting directly to the CEO/CRO, the ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth of our leading-edge Patient Services solutions. This role requires tested consultative selling skills, in-depth knowledge of commercial infrastructure, strong understanding of current technologies, and the ability to effectively position product features, benefits, and value to diverse stakeholders. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Execution: Generate, pursue and close opportunities focusing on key decision-makers from patient services, market access, brand, and marketing teams
  • Sales Presentations: Conduct engaging presentations and product demonstrations, highlighting the benefits and value of our solutions geared to the specific functional needs of our clients
  • Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to maximize profitability while ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, specifically marketing, to develop brand-specific presentations and proposals
  • Data Maven: Serve as a data denizen, intentionally updating, leveraging, and proactively evolving our CRM system (Hubspot) and related AI tools
  • Product Knowledge: Developing a robust understanding of our solutions and how they impact our client’s needs and metrics

Key Competencies:

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. Ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively using a variety of formats to different audiences, including executives, clients, and team members.
  • Consultative Selling: Ability to creatively sell complex solutions by understanding and navigating sophisticated sales journeys; can pivot pitches based on objections without fluttering an eyelash
  • Relationship Building: Exceptional networking skills to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, partners, clients , and internal staff. Ability to leverage existing relationships to drive business growth in both new and existing accounts.
  • Market Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the industry, market dynamics, agencies, and competitive landscape. Ability to conduct market research and use data to drive business decisions.

Negotiating & Deal Making: Expertise in negotiating deals, partnerships, and contracts. Proven track record of closing complex business deals.

  • Gets Stuff Done: The ability to plan, prioritize, pivot, project manage, make decisions, update, and delegate as appropriate to meet defined timelines and workstreams and then execute. Leveraging AI in these pursuits is critical. 

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of the HCP-related technology providers, market dynamics, and industry trends 
  • Successful sales experience servicing commercial pharmaceutical needs; topical management consulting backgrounds are also looked on kindly; SaaS focus is nice to have but not mandatory; open to folks who have worked for manufacturers as well
  • Available and yearn for in-person meetings
  • Adept at and committed to embracing CRM systems (Hubspot)
  • Generative AI exposure is required; Agentic AI exposure is a big plus
  • Experience working with agencies is a plus
  • Startup/early stage experience a big plus
  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree; MBA is a plus 

Compensation:

Base: $150-175k range, depending on experience and location

Bonus: $100K target based on company and personal performance
