We are looking for a Desktop Application Developer with strong experience in maintaining legacy systems and developing desktop applications using VB6 and .NET (2022). The ideal candidate will be responsible for enhancing existing applications, fixing bugs, aligning reports (particularly for pre-printed forms), and providing technical support for operational systems.

• Technical Support: Provide day-to-day technical support and troubleshooting for operational issues related to desktop applications.
• Bug Fixing & Maintenance: Identify and resolve bugs in legacy and modern systems.Align and format reports, especially pre-printed Crystal Reports.
• System Design:Create detailed algorithms and flowcharts for application workflows and systems.
• Performance Improvement:Gather and analyze user feedback to enhance software usability and efficiency.
• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, internal departments, and end-users to gather and refine requirements. Ensure software solutions align with business objectives and user needs.
• Development: Design and develop new features or applications using Visual Basic 6.0 and .NET Framework (VB.NET / C#).Produce clean, efficient, and well-documented code based on technical specifications.
• Projects to handle: Medical Screening Systems.
• Security & Compliance: Apply security best practices, particularly regarding data privacy (e.g., HIPAA compliance in a medical context), and optimize applications for speed and scalability.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in Visual Basic 6.0 and .NET (preferably VB.NET or C#) development.
• Database Management: SQL, MySql, SQL Server
• Strong knowledge in handling Crystal Reports and formatting pre-printed documents.
• Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) and version control systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication skills in both technical and non-technical terms.
• Minimum Sr. High School graduate, career shifter is encouraged to apply.
• With 1 year or more relevant experience. (Jr - Mid Level).

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with legacy systems maintenance and modernization projects.
• Knowledge in SQL and basic database operations.
• Prior experience working in a support-heavy development environment.
• Familiarity with clinical workflows, healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR), and data security regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR) are nice to have.
