Team Lead, Business Unit Data Products
Role Summary
We are looking for a Team Lead to drive Payoneer’s Business Unit Data Products practice and accelerate how Growth, Operations, and Finance teams access, trust, and use data. Sitting at the intersection of data, product, and business strategy, you will shape the BU Data Products agenda-aligning business priorities with scalable, governed, reusable data products and leading the shift from fragmented reporting to trusted data foundations.
You will lead a globally distributed team of Data Product Managers and partner closely with business leaders, Engineering, Analytics, BI, Data Governance, and the dedicated Semantic Layer team. As Payoneer invests in AI and scalable data foundations, you will ensure business data is well-defined, discoverable, trusted, and ready to power analytics, operational workflows, and AI use cases.

What You’ll Do
- Lead the BU Data Products practice across Growth, Operations, and Finance, aligned with existing domain roadmaps and ownership.
- Partner with business leaders, Engineering, Analytics, BI, Data Governance, and the Semantic Layer team to translate business needs into scalable data product delivery.
- Bring a clear product perspective into planning—business value, prioritization, dependencies, risks, and adoption.
- Play a key business-side leadership role in Payoneer’s semantic layer efforts.
- Lead product discovery to identify high-value use cases, then translate them into clear requirements, delivery plans, and adoption plans.
- Drive structured data lifecycle practices from discovery through development, release, adoption, and post-launch measurement.
- Build and mature the BU Data Products operating model—intake, prioritization, lifecycle governance, release standards, and documentation.
- Lead, coach, and develop a globally distributed team of Data Product Managers.
Who You Are
- 7+ years in Data, Analytics, or Data Platform Product Management, or related data leadership roles.
- Proven experience leading and developing data product teams, including distributed or remote members.
- Strong product mindset—shaping priorities, driving discovery, defining requirements, and measuring adoption and impact.
- Strong familiarity with cloud data platforms, data warehouses, data modeling, semantic layers, and BI ecosystems.
- Strong understanding of data governance—ownership, documentation, metadata, lineage, access management, data quality, and regulatory considerations.
- Skilled at navigating ambiguity, distributed ownership, competing priorities, and cross-domain dependencies.
- Strong communicator who engages effectively with both senior business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Curious about AI’s impact on data organizations and comfortable with modern AI tools and data-readiness concepts.
- Hands-on with BI tools such as Looker, Power BI, or Tableau; semantic modeling tools (dbt, Cube, AtScale) and fintech, payments, or regulated-environment experience are strong advantages.
