THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Data Center Logistics Specialist to support logistics, inventory, and asset lifecycle management operations within a fast-paced data center environment in Plano, Texas. This role requires a strong understanding of data center fundamentals, including the installation and deployment of compute, networking, and storage infrastructure, as well as expertise in managing high-value technology assets throughout their lifecycle.
The ideal candidate will have experience maintaining inventory accuracy, coordinating secure shipping and receiving operations, supporting asset audits, and ensuring compliance with asset management and disposition standards. Experience supporting large-scale R&D or engineering lab environments is highly desirable.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Logistics & Asset Management
- Receive, inspect, document, and process incoming shipments of high-value data center equipment.
- Coordinate secure packaging, shipping, and transportation of servers, storage systems, networking equipment, and associated hardware.
- Maintain accurate asset records within asset management and inventory tracking systems.
- Apply and validate asset tagging standards for all received and deployed equipment.
- Manage inventory transactions including receiving, transfers, deployments, returns, repairs, and decommissions.
- Ensure chain-of-custody procedures are followed for all assets entering or leaving the facility.
Inventory Control & Auditing
- Perform routine inventory audits of both installed and uninstalled assets.
- Conduct cycle counts, ABC inventory counts, and reconciliation activities to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain appropriate stock levels for operational and spare parts inventories.
- Support inventory reporting, discrepancy investigations, and corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate location tracking for equipment across data center, warehouse, and lab environments.
Data Center Operations Support
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to support installation, movement, and decommissioning of compute, network, and storage hardware.
- Verify hardware configurations and asset records during deployment and removal activities.
- Assist with rack-level inventory validation and physical asset verification.
- Support project-based deployments and infrastructure refresh initiatives.
Asset Disposition & Compliance
- Execute secure asset disposition processes in accordance with company policies and industry standards.
- Coordinate e-waste handling, recycling, and destruction activities through approved vendors.
- Ensure data-bearing devices are processed according to approved sanitization and destruction procedures.
- Maintain documentation and audit trails for retired and disposed assets.
- Support compliance requirements related to inventory control, asset tracking, and environmental sustainability programs.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, logistics workflows, and asset lifecycle processes.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to logistics and inventory management.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to optimize material flow and asset utilization.
We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Dallas, TX office in compliance with Everpure's policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 3–5 years of experience in data center logistics, inventory management, warehouse operations, or related technical infrastructure environments.
- Strong understanding of data center infrastructure fundamentals, including:
- Experience receiving, shipping, and handling high-value technology assets.
- Experience with asset lifecycle management and asset tracking systems.
- Knowledge of asset tagging standards and inventory control best practices.
- Experience performing inventory audits, cycle counts, and ABC inventory management.
- Understanding of secure shipping methods and chain-of-custody procedures.
- Familiarity with e-waste regulations, asset disposition processes, and secure hardware destruction practices.
- Proficiency with inventory management tools, spreadsheets, and reporting systems.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift and move equipment in accordance with safety guidelines.

Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.
This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
