About this Commercial Pricing Analyst - 6 month FTC role at Wifinity

Wifinity · Onsite · London, England, United Kingdom

About us:
Wifinity was founded in 2007 to solve a problem—our armed forces were struggling with reliable connectivity. While living in barracks, often in remote locations, ordering a landline and booking in an engineer just wasn’t an option.

And that problem isn’t exclusive to the military, either. Students living in University accommodation, families visiting holiday resorts, or living in shared accommodation and retirement communities.

Conventional home broadband doesn’t always work for them.

Wifinity is different. We offer the same benefits as traditional broadband, such as super-fast speeds, WiFi, and secure and private networks, but none of the downsides. We even offer Pay As You Go and flexible contracts, so customers only pay for what they need without hefty penalties or long contract terms.

We take the complexity out of connectivity.

The Opportunity:
This is a hands-on commercial finance role where you will help shape pricing decisions for real B2B opportunities, from early bid evaluation through to contract signature. You will work closely with finance, commercial, operations and delivery teams, using data, judgement and challenge to make sure our proposals are competitive, robust and commercially sustainable.

Key areas of focus:
We are looking for a Commercial Pricing Analyst to join our Commercial Finance function. In this role, you will support the development of our B2B pricing approach and bid financials, helping to ensure proposals are commercially sound, aligned to strategy, and financially robust.

You will work across the end-to-end bid process, from early-stage evaluation through to contract signature, supporting pricing decisions, financial modelling, and governance activities. You will play a key role in ensuring assumptions, costs, and commercial structures are accurate, consistent, and sustainable. Alongside bid support, you will help maintain our pricing intelligence capability, including procurement cost tracking and supporting the continuous improvement of our pricing frameworks through data and post-bid analysis.

This role places greater emphasis on applying strong commercial judgement within established pricing frameworks than on building complex models from scratch. You will focus on interpreting outputs, sense-checking assumptions, and ensuring that pricing decisions are commercially robust and aligned to real-world dynamics. The role will require some financial modelling to develop more bespoke analyses outside of standard frameworks when required.

You will work closely with teams across finance, commercial, operations, and delivery to support pricing, modelling, and commercial decision-making.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but may change based on business needs:

Bid Pricing, Modelling & Commercial Support

Build and maintain financial models to support B2B bids, using established templates where appropriate

  • Assist in preparing commercial inputs, including cost assumptions, risks, and financial outputs.
  • Ensure pricing outputs align with agreed assumptions, internal governance, and financial requirements.
  • Support governance reviews by providing clear analysis, variance tracking, and decision-ready outputs.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to validate costs, operational inputs, and delivery assumptions

Pricing Strategy & Market Intelligence

  • Support the development and refinement of pricing approaches across B2B segments.
  • Maintain and validate core pricing inputs, including procurement costs and stock assumptions, ensuring models reflect current and accurate data, and perform analysis to identify cost optimisation opportunities and potential value creation.
  • Contribute to market and competitor analysis to inform pricing decisions.
  • Support pricing options & margin outcomes to support commercially competitive proposals

Post-Mortem Analysis & Continuous Improvement

  • Support the delivery of bid post-mortems, analysing performance against assumption.
  • Help identify trends and insights to improve future pricing accuracy and consistency.
  • Contribute to improving pricing models, tools, and processes over time.

Financial Analysis & Commercial Insight

  • Provide analysis on bid performance, pricing trends, and margin outcomes.
  • Support scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis where required, particularly for non-standard or complex deals.
  • Contribute to wider FP&A or commercial finance activities where required.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with stakeholders across finance, commercial, delivery, and operations teams.
Communicate clearly and effectively to support decision-making across the bid process.
Provide constructive, data-led challenge where appropriate to ensure commercial robustness.

About you:
You are a commercially minded finance professional with strong analytical skills and an interest in pricing and commercial decision-making. You are detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

You are comfortable working within structured models and frameworks, focusing on interpreting outputs, challenging assumptions, and ensuring commercial logic holds.

You enjoy working with data but are equally confident applying judgement where inputs are incomplete or uncertain. You are keen to learn, develop, and improve processes over time, and are comfortable working with a range of stakeholders across the business.

Your experience:

  • Experience in commercial finance, FP&A, pricing, or similar analytical roles.
  • Good financial modelling capability (Excel-based), including working with existing models and adapting them where needed.
  • Exposure to B2B environments and/or bid processes is advantageous.
  • Good understanding of financial concepts and basic accounting principles.

  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders across functions.
  • Degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field plus strong Excel, analytical, commercial and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, Ability to collaborate and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

  • Experience using data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau)
  • Basic knowledge of SQL, Python, or data analysis techniques
  • Experience working with cost data, procurement inputs, or pricing databases
