About the Role

We are looking for a Commercial Landscape Estimator with strong experience estimating U.S. commercial construction projects involving site work, fencing, concrete, and landscape construction scopes.

This is not a takeoff-only position. The ideal candidate will bring critical thinking, pricing strategy, subcontractor coordination experience, and the ability to identify scope gaps and project risks before submission.

You will work closely with project leadership to develop accurate and competitive bids while managing vendor outreach, subcontractor pricing, RFIs, and revisions throughout the estimating cycle.

  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documentation to identify scope requirements and risks.

  • Prepare and manage RFIs, clarifications, addenda, revisions, and bid updates.

  • Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain pricing and scope coverage.

  • Support material pricing strategy and subcontractor quote evaluations.

  • Provide pre-construction support and cost analysis throughout the bidding process.

  • Review project scope beyond takeoff quantities to ensure estimate completeness and accuracy.

  • Communicate directly with subcontractors and suppliers, including phone outreach when necessary.

  • Maintain organized bid documentation and estimating records.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate proposal submissions.

Requirements

  • Civil Engineering degree required.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience estimating U.S. commercial construction projects.

  • Proven experience estimating site work, fencing, and concrete scopes.

  • Strong understanding of production rates, labor productivity, and field execution considerations.

  • Proficiency with Bluebeam for quantity takeoffs and markup workflows.

  • Experience using RSMeans or similar regional pricing databases.

  • Experience managing subcontractor outreach and vendor coordination.

  • Ability to independently manage multiple bids and competing deadlines.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Fluent English with clear verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working for general contractors or specialty site contractors.

  • Familiarity with value engineering and alternative pricing strategies.

  • Experience reviewing subcontractor proposals and identifying scope gaps.

  • Exposure to complex commercial projects with multiple subcontracted trades.
