About this Clinical Product Lead role at C the Signs

C the Signs · United Kingdom

C the Signs is dedicated to transforming the future of cancer care through our innovative AI-powered platform. We empower healthcare professionals and patients with the tools and information needed to effectively recognize cancer symptoms, ensuring timely treatment and improved outcomes. As we expand our impact, we are looking for a passionate Clinical Product Lead to join our talented team.

This role

We're looking for a Clinical Product Lead to join our growing Product team at the intersection of clinical practice and digital health innovation.

Reporting to the UK Product Director, this is a unique role where you will work closely with product teams, product managers, customer success, customer support and leadership.\

Your role is to reflect the customer voice in the room, ensuring that 360 feedback, discovery, commercial alignment and patient benefit is evaluated while serving as the clinical expert: grounding product decisions in real-world NHS care delivery, mitigating any clinical risk, and translating complex healthcare workflows into actionable insight for the product team.

What you’ll do

Clinical Advisory & Validation

  • Act as the embedded clinical expert for two product squads, providing on-demand guidance on NHS workflows, care pathways, and patient safety considerations
  • Review and challenge product decisions from a clinical lens — identifying where assumptions diverge from how care is actually delivered across primary, secondary, and community settings
  • Evaluate new feature proposals for clinical accuracy, feasibility, and risk

Discovery & Research

  • Lead or support clinical discovery: interviews with clinicians, site visits, and workflow observation across NHS and independent sector settings
  • Synthesise NICE guidelines, NHS England policy, and clinical evidence to inform product direction
  • Identify unmet clinical needs — particularly around NHS operational pressures, workforce constraints, and care pathway inefficiencies — that represent product opportunities

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Bridge the gap between clinicians, PMs, engineers, and designers — translating clinical concepts into language the team can act on, and product concepts into language clinicians can evaluate
  • Partner with regulatory teams as the Clinical Safety Lead, taking ownership of UK compliance requirements including DCB0129/DCB0160 clinical safety standards and MHRA regulations for Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) to ensure these are embedded into every product decision
  • Support go-to-market and customer success teams with clinical content and NHS implementation guidance

Implementation & Adoption

  • Advise on and project manage clinical implementation within NHS environments — from configuration decisions to change management for clinical staff navigating existing systems (e.g. EMIS, SystmOne, Epic)
  • Contribute to clinical documentation, training materials, and onboarding resources suited to NHS workflows
  • Gather feedback from clinical users post-launch and feed insights back into the product cycle

Requirements

  • Post Completion of Core training (CCT) in General Practice with a minimum of 6 years of experience working as a doctor in the NHS
  • Strong working knowledge of NHS structures, care settings, and the realities of frontline healthcare delivery in the UK
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment: you're comfortable with ambiguity and know how to make an impact without formal authority
  • Experience leading clinical discovery with clients and partners from scoping and recruiting the right voices to synthesising insights and presenting findings to stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills: you can make clinical complexity accessible without losing nuance and can effectively communicate with both clinical and non-clinical stakeholders
  • Experience with NHS system integrations and EHR workflows (EMIS, SystmOne)
  • Prior experience in a digital health, healthtech, or clinical informatics role
  • Familiarity with product development processes (discovery, sprint cycles, roadmapping)

Nice to have

  • Exposure to UK regulatory frameworks: ISO13485, MHRA ClassII SaMD, DCB0129/DCB0160, and DTAC

Benefits

  • Competitive salary
  • Opportunity to work with a team that respects clinical expertise and builds it into the product process from day one
  • A dynamic, mission-driven environment where your work directly impacts patient outcomes
  • Flexible working arrangements - We are a fully remote company
  • Continuous learning and professional growth opportunities, with access to the latest tools and resources in product development and healthcare innovation

About C the Signs

C the Signs is transforming how the world finds cancer early. Founded by NHS doctors, we combine clinical science, advanced AI and real world evidence to identify cancer risk for patients, providers and entire populations.

At the heart of our work is a simple belief: everyone deserves the chance to survive cancer. Our platform analyses information from both patient-reported data and electronic health records, bringing together thousands of data points to understand a person’s risk and guide them to the right diagnostic pathway, at the right time. It is built to support clinicians in decision making, empower patients with clarity and help health systems act earlier and more effectively.

Today, we have completed more than 500,000 cancer risk assessments and helped identify over 65,000 patients with cancer across 100 cancer types. These are not just numbers. They are people who reached diagnosis sooner and were given more time, more options and more hope.

Used across the UK and soon launching across the United States, C the Signs delivers 99 percent sensitivity and strong clinical accuracy. We help clinicians make informed decisions, improve access for underserved communities and ensure that early detection becomes a lived reality rather than a distant ideal.

C the Signs is building a future where early cancer detection is accessible, equitable and centred on the people it serves.
