Part Time Caregiver – Whitman, MA 

A family in Whitman, MA 02382 is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and patient caregiver to support an older adult in the home. The family is looking for someone who can provide assistance with daily routines, offer companionship, and help promote safety and independence.

Schedule:

• Start Date: ASAP
• Three days per week 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Days are negotiable and can be discussed with the right candidate.

Family Specifications:

• Smoke-free home

Responsibilities:

• Assist with morning routines, including getting up for the day
• Provide assistance with showering, dressing, and changing a daytime catheter bag as needed
• Prepare breakfast and snacks and clean up afterward
• Provide medication reminders and ensure medications are taken as directed
• Encourage and assist with spending time outdoors when weather permits
• Provide companionship and supervision to promote safety, as the care recipient uses a walker and is unsteady on his feet
• Assist with meal preparation and cooking activities, including lifting pans, retrieving items, and cleaning up
• Be available throughout the day to provide support as needed

Requirements:

• Prior caregiving experience preferred
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality
• Comfortable assisting with mobility support and personal care
• Ability to safely assist with light lifting and household tasks
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to caregiving

Compensation:

• $23–$26 per hour, depending on experience
