What's Exciting About The Role 

As a Technical Project Manager, you will coordinate the planning and delivery of assigned payment solution projects in the South Africa region, as part of the new Customer Success Implementations team.

This role is an incredible opportunity to be at the heart of customer success, driving impactful projects and ensuring seamless delivery of Verifone’s cutting-edge payment solutions. You'll work with cross-functional teams, tackle complex implementations, and play a key role in shaping the customer experience. 

Key Responsibilities:

Project Coordination

  • Support the delivery of small to medium-sized technical projects, ensuring alignment with defined scope, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Assist in defining project objectives, schedules, and communication plans with guidance from senior team members.
  • Monitor project risks and dependencies, escalating issues as needed.
  • Contribute to quality assurance efforts across project deliverables.
  • Provide regular status updates to stakeholders and project leads.

Technical Collaboration

  • Work with technical teams to understand integration requirements and system dependencies.
  • Translate basic technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders with support.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as a point of contact for customers during project execution, with support from Customer Success Implementations team
  • Participate in project meetings with clients and internal teams to ensure alignment.
  • Occasionally support on-site client visits to assist with delivery and relationship building.

Team Collaboration & Development

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support resource coordination and issue resolution.
  • Actively participate in team knowledge sharing and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Take ownership of personal development and stay informed on relevant industry trends and PM practices.

Skills and Experience We Desire 

  • Proven experience in customer success, project management, or a related role, ideally within payments, fintech, or SaaS 
  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences, project planning and execution and critical problem-solving 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels 
  • Ability to understand and explain technical payment solutions to non-technical audiences 
  • Strong technical understanding, solid project coordination skills, and the ability to engage effectively with internal teams and external customers
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, programs and priorities
